City of London Academy Islington will join IC6 from September 2019. This arrangement allows students to access 60 courses across the four sites. IC6 provides outstanding sixth form education in a friendly, supportive and productive learning environment. The consortium has around 700 students who all study either A levels or BTECS and are aged 16-19. IC6 Co-ordinator This is a varied role where you will work independently, but alongside the IC6 partner schools. The job is multifaceted but primarily consists of: ñ Administrative work - Providing clerical services for the Governors, Senior Leaders of the Consortium across the schools as well as processing admissions and answering student enquiries. ñ Marketing – You will need to maintain and update the IC6 website as well as create adverts relating to events. You will also be responsible for the prospectus content. ñ Data management and entry – You will be required to produce detailed reports concerning student attainment and progress using the Management Information System (SIMS) and excel. ñ System management – You will need to become familiar with SIMS and the implementation of the ‘Partnership Exchange’ add-on to ensure that the four schools’ systems communicate with each other. ñ Event management – You will be responsible for arranging open evenings as well as joint parents’ evenings. You will need to liaise with various IT companies to ensure its smooth running. ñ Event management – You will be responsible for arranging open evenings as well as joint parent evenings. Hours 8.30am-4.30pm each day. However there are usually 2-4 meetings or events each month which take place outside of these hours (never earlier than 7am or later than 8pm). These are scheduled in the calendar at least three months in advance. This job can involve overtime around data collection points (approximately three weeks across the year) and around the start of the academic year. IC6 Coordinator – Job Description Post: IC6 Coordinator Location – Based at one of the IC6 schools but travelling to the three other consortium schools will form an important part of this position Line Manager –The Chair of the IC6 Head teachers’ group Hours - 8.30am-4.30pm each day. IC6 Administration ñ Acting as first point of contact for IC6 enquiries and requests and exercising judgment on taking initiatives on behalf of the consortium schools where required. ñ Communicating with IC6 partner schools and external stakeholders on day-to-day basis; playing a central role in building and maintaining good working relationships and a strong presence for IC6 both internally and externally. ñ Leading on administrative projects as required. ñ Providing clerical service for the Heads of IC6, IC6 Governors, IC6 Executive Management Group and any other meetings between IC6 partner schools, preparing papers and taking minutes. ñ Updating the Memorandum of Understanding and other IC6 policies as required and securing signatures at the points of review. 2. IC6 Admissions ñ Collating all external applications to IC6. ñ Ensuring the maintenance of an accurate student application database. ñ Organising interviews with external students, including on results day. ñ Handling student and parent enquiries and requests, advising appropriately. ñ Co-ordinating the circulation of marketing materials to IC6 partner schools and related off-site offices. 3. Data ñ Collating sixth form data across all four schools in the consortium at each assessment point and for the actual qualification outcomes, including producing the analysis of student performance across the IC6 partner schools. ñ Leading on the use and implementation of Partnership Exchange (PX) across all four schools (PX being an add-on to SIMS that allows data, information and registers to transfer across all four school sites). ñ Creation of bespoke reports in SIMS, to be used across all four sites, for assessment and attendance. ñ Liaising with CAPITA to resolve issues with both SIMS and PX, including student transfers. 1 IC6 Coordinator Job Description January 2019 ñ Being responsible for all assessment data entry across KS5. This includes transfers between Years 11 to 12, and 12 to 13, as well as students entering and leaving the consortium during the school year. ñ Being responsible for the exchanging of Year 12 and 13 student data between the four schools. ñ Planning the data collection and analysis programmes with each school for the whole school and IC6 year cycle. ñ Being responsible for the development of the use of Partnership Exchange by all staff within IC6 in support of raising attainment. ñ Working closely with the data managers from each of the four schools to ensure the flow of data between schools. ñ Supporting partner schools on the completion of the termly census for pupils. ñ Liaising with the examinations officer to ensure that the following functions are effectively carried through. ñ Obtaining KS5 assessment information and generating Key Stage targets from them, where relevant and agreed. ñ Data analysis of all examination and assessment results. ñ Implementing and administering the annual reports to parents and other students. ñ Completing end of year procedures with respect to SIMS including: - Being responsible for the setting up of users of SIMS including access rights. - Being responsible for making teaching group changes and the production of class lists in SIMS. - Liaising with the ICT technical support staff over the appropriateness and timing of upgrades to SIMS. 4. Marketing and Events ñ Designing and overseeing production of the IC6 prospectus. ñ Overseeing the upkeep of the IC6 website. ñ Planning and organising the IC6 Open Evening. ñ Designing and producing IC6 marketing products for the event, such as subject pop- up banners, adverts, flyers and stationary. ñ Planning and organising IC6 parents' evenings. 5. Timetabling ñ To support partner schools in the creation of the sixth form timetable, and then to create the timetable in NovaT6 and oversee all changes to the sixth form timetable made across all four schools. 6. Enrichment Programmes ñ To support partner schools in the development and operation of enrichment opportunities shared between the partner schools. 7. Professional Development ñ To support partner schools in the development and operation of professional development opportunities for the improvement of post 16 teaching and learning, and other aspects of post 16 practice across the partner schools. 8. Student Advice, Information and Guidance ñ To support partner schools in the development and operation of student advice, information and guidance opportunities shared between the partner schools. 2 IC6 Coordinator Job Description January 2019 9. Data Protection ñ To assume the role of data protection officer (DPO) for IC6 to ensure that IC6 processes personal data in compliance with the applicable data protection rules.
