News. Visit to the Royal Mews at Windsor. This was a fantastic visit during Half Term, organised by Cindy. Twenty one members and parents travelled by coach and I , with my small granddaughter, met them all at Windsor. We were shown round by Terry Prendy, head groom to HM the Queen and saw areas of the mews, grounds and gardens that the public do not normally see, including the garages with the coaches and landau used for Royal weddings and Ascot. We met Emma, the Queen's favourite fell pony, that she rides when at Windsor and several of Prince Philip's driving ponies. Terry was a good host and very engaging – everyone had a great time and has memories that will last forever.
Musical Ride taster session. Thurs 27th October. I was not present at this rally but I understand that it was a great success and catered for a wide range of age and riding ability, resulting in a six minute piece with a Pirates of the Caribbean theme. Hopefully this will lead to more Musical Ride involvement by our Branch, or perhaps individuals taking part in Dressage to Music at the PC Championships.
Two day Equine Fair at Westpoint, Sat/Sun 3rd/4th December. This has turned into quite a glitzy affair over the years with celebrity riders, demonstrations, competitions and lots of shopping. On Sunday 4th our branch has been selected for the H&H competition where four members , 12 and under, will jump a course of jumps followed by four runners with dogs over the same course. The jumping is judged on style not faults. We were also selected 10 years ago, and won, so lets have lots of supporters to cheer our members on please ! You can do your Christmas shopping as well.

Triathlon helpers needed. 8th January This is our biggest fundraising event of the year. We had a new organising team last year and this year, more changes, as we will be without Andy Bray (not sure how we'll manage!) and Cindy who was timekeeper. We need running stewards, door stewards, swim lane counters, assistant timekeeper and scrutineers for the shooting phase. Please can you offer help, even if your child does not do triathlon – the money raised is used for all the Branch members. I will be doing the entries so please contact me if you, or any friends/relations can offer help. Thank you, Sue
First Aid Course for members (11+) and adults. This will be an equine specific course which we hope to run over two evenings or a weekend morning in the New Year. Participants will gain a Senior PC First Aid badge and/or a certificate of attendance. It can also count towards D of E awards.

Pony Club vacancy I need an assistant DC. I am in London now each week from Mon – Wed so have fewer hours to devote to PC matters. If you would like to help with this please ring me. You do not have to be a committee member already just have an interest in and commitment to the Pony Club and to our branch.
Pony Club Tests. Cindy will run C/C+ training at Ruglands Farm through the winter. These will be Sunday pm during term time and on Fridays or Mondays during the holidays.
