Newsletter October/November 2016 News The Devon & Somerset Branch of the Pony Club Newsletter October/November 2016 News It has been a very busy summer. The last newsletter, sent out in July, seems a very long time ago. We all made it to Cheshire for the Pony Club Championships – unfortunately Daisy had a nasty fall from her bike on the first evening and was taken to hospital. This rather put a cloud over the Novice team who were competing the next day. However, they did well, jumping at the end of the first round in very slippery conditions , resulting in two poles down which may not have happened with better going. The second round was in the main arena. There was only one team with three double clears. Out of 50 teams only 16 individuals had a double clear, Kitty was one of them – Well done Kitty and Tally. The next day, Saturday, Eliza was placed in the Open Dressage. She also won the prestigious Horsemanship award in the Open Showjumping. She was presented with a rose bowl, a cup and a rug by the Chairman of Showjumping. You may have seen a report and photos in the West Somerset Free Press on 2nd September. Eve Thomas Everard won the U14 class at Bagley Hunter Trials on her new pony Rooks Nestor, She was also placed 5th in the Open Pairs with Rosalie Sanders. Well done Eve, good results for a very new partnership. Ella Varney did a double clear on the lovely Buddy at the Grassroots Championships at Bicton on 4th September. The team was Ella, Cary, Imogen and Grey. Four faults in each round meant that they weren't placed but they did well to qualify in such fine style. It was a big competition with PC teams from all over the West Country. If you have any news or results please send them to me. If I have left out anything I apologise. It has been an especially hectic time recently. Sue What's on. Autumn Programme. Mounted rallies Sat 8th Oct 10.30am Vellow Wood Farm. CONTACT Nicky. Mini/Junior Sun 16th Oct 10.30am Stolford Farm. We are a group of five rural parishes and six churches located on the south-eastern edge of Exmoor and a part of the Exmoor Deanery in the Diocese of Bath and Wells. Each parish has its own character. Since the last vacancy, we have become aware of the advantages and pleasures of working together. So we have started our journey and we are looking for somebody to walk alongside us on that road. Our vision is ★ To have a benefice united in the Spirit and led by an active and enthusiastic Rector, supported by a strong team of committed Christians. ★ To expand and broaden our outreach to further integrate and strengthen the church presence in our communities. ★ To serve all, taking our community to where God is leading us and seeing God in all whom we meet. ★ To seek ways of telling God’s story in new places in both traditional and fresh forms. ★ To value spaces and places in our worship for prayer and stillness. We can offer you the support of an enthusiastic ministry team, experienced lay worship leaders and the chance to live in an attractive rural part of the country. If these objectives appeal to you we would love to hear from you. Page 2 of 26 In this Profile: The benefice and worship sections focus on themes common to all parishes. I have a great deal of concern that my area that has been bundled in with a large area of the town centre. When yo7 leave the town and start down South Road there is a feeling of leaving the town as you go over the slight rise and pass Tauntfield (not Tauntfield Close, Tauntfield is past Tauntfield and set back from the road.) Killams and Mountfields has an established residents association, all be it a bit up and down depending on what is going on! It has its own community around our local shops and post office which are all strongly supported, there is a feel of a suburb, a feeling of being outside of town. I am happy that the roads in Trinity area are returning to what was Eastgate ward, there only moved across a few years ago and the area has not managed to build any links across as they look to Eastgate as their community.

Planning Inspectorate Temple Quay House Temple Quay Bristol BS1 6PN 13 August 2020 Dear Sir/Madam Hinkley Point C (Nuclear Generation Company) Statutory Order 2013 made 18th March 2013: Application for a Non-Material Change in relation to the Hinkley Point C Main Development Site Regulation 7A of the Infrastructure Planning (Changes to, and Revocation of, Development Consent Orders) Regulations 2011 (the “2011 Regulations) – Consultation and Publicity Statement I write following the submission of our application on 28 July 2020 on behalf of NNB Generation Company (HPC) Limited (“EDF”) for proposed Non-Material Changes to the Development Consent Order, in relation to the Hinkley Point C Site. This letter and its annexes constitute the consultation and publicity statement, as required by Regulation 7A of the 2011 Regulations. This statement demonstrates compliance with Regulations 6 and 7, as amended by the Infrastructure Planning (Changes to, and Revocation of, Development Consent Orders)(Amendment) Regulations 2015. I note that on 22 July The Infrastructure Planning (Publication and Notification of Applications etc.) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 came into force, Regulation 3 inserting new provisions (Regulation 6A, 20A and 56A) into the 2011 Regulations and taking immediate effect. I can confirm that the amended provisions were taken into account, whereby EDF published the full suite of application documents on its website and sign-posted consultees to the Inspectorate’s website. It is noted that the new Regulation 6A(2)(a) removes the requirement to place hard copy documents at a deposit point, how- ever EDF chose to place the application documents at its own facility close to the application site, in order to ensure the greatest possible access for interested parties.
