This disease exists in three forms: cutaneous (rural, urban), visceral, and mucocutaneous. In the rural type, some rodents play the role of a reservoir. In our country, many people are infected with this disease every year. Cutaneous Leishmaniasis is now common in some parts of East Azerbaijan province. Considering that no comprehensive study on the general condition of cutaneous Leishmaniasis reservoirs in this province has been done so far, this research was very necessary. This study was conducted to investigate the fauna, distribution, and frequency of rodents in East Azerbaijan province from 2018 to 2019. Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study. Cluster sampling was performed on rodents. Rodents were caught each week by 30 live traps from different parts of East Azerbaijan province and were determined in the laboratory after examining their morphological characteristics.

Accordingly, in terms of the Biological Diversity and economic, social and cultural effects, wetlands are importance to the international community that the Lake Urmia is an outstanding example. To protect these ecosystems, International law in the context of general and special rules has set considerable provisions. As a major international wetland, Urmia Lake in the Ramsar Convention, the specific document governing the conservation of wetlands, has been recorded. Following the general rules in accordance with this Convention, States are required to reasonable use of wetlands and protecting them. But in recent years, the Urmia wetlands due to unreasonable exploitation such as diversion stream flow by the many dams built, the causeway and bridge built across Urmia Lake to the name of Shahid Kalantari was completed in November 2008. There is concern that is inhibits circulation within the lake and may exacerbate environmental issues caused by the low water levels and lack of modern agricultural extension, is nearly drying. So that the viability of this crisis may by threaten the right to a healthy environment leads to environmental catastrophy, and states Iran's international obligations.

Field products were sampled from stem (mid- spring) until the end of fruition in different regions of the province. Weeds were counted and identified according to genus and species, and their stage of development was registered. The entire sample contained 136 weed species from 100 Genera, belonging to 28 families. The most frequently encountered weeds were members of the Brassicaceae, with 20 species, Poaceae, with 17 species, and Asteraceae, with 16 species. Of the 136 weed species, the majority (88%) were dicotyledonous, while the remainder was monocotyledonous. Moreover, 78% of the weeds were annual/biennial. The current study revealed predominant weed species in wheat and barley fields of East Azerbaijan province of Iran. Moreover, we demonstrated that proper weed management will substantially help to reduce the damage to wheat and barley fields. ABSTRACT A general model of settlement structures by means of spatial processes and a specification of a spatial model for an archaeological landscape are presented. The study was mainly concerned with the analyzing quadrates containing archaeological sites, their formulation according to the general spatial model applied. As an example the settlement pattern of ancient sites from a region of Eastern shores of Urmia Lake has been analyzed. Here, we detailed the results of an aerial photographic survey combined with an intensive ground survey of ancient archaeological sites designed to determine: 1) the spatial pattern of archaeological sites at a landscape scale; 2) whether a positive association exists between the density of archaeological sites and environmental variables and if so, at what scale this relationship is strongest. We then suggest that wider use of remotely sensed data and spatial statistical tests, which are designed for spatial inference, can be integrated into geographic information systems (GIS) and similar spatial analyses that are often graphically displayed. 1-INTRODUCTION The use of archaeological site distribution patterns in order to account for archaeological landscape is a fairly striking experience in archaeology. Even though statistical theories and models in relation to site dispersion and distribution patterns have evolved since the middle of the 80s, there hasn’t been much attention paid to the potential for utilizing it as an explanatory method for the analysis of archaeological landscape.
