By plane

You have to go to Split airport ( http://www.split-airport.hr ). It is a small international airport frequently connected with numerous airports in Europe and other airports in Croatia. When you land, change some money into Croatian currency “kuna”, which you will need for bus and ferry or jet. Around 30 EUR will be more then enough (change 50 EUR for any case).

From Airport to Harbour Split

There is a bus going directly from airport to Split harbour (30 min, around 5 EUR) (Fig 2).

Your ferry or jet will be in 100 m from bus station – it is the first and the last official bus station (Fig 2, 3).

Fig 3. Harbour of Split. Information and ticket office (container type) for jet or ferry is 10 m from bus station (Fig. 3, 4). Ask there which is the best option to get to Hvar. There is a jet or ferry almost every 1 h during 24h! Jets are going directly to Hvar, but most of the ferries are going to Stari Grad. We will give more details later but for the moment you can see http://www.jadrolinija.hr
