1. Determine which side of the tracing paper is the transfer side, then tape the template to tracing paper with the transfer side facing down. Cut the template to size, if needed.

2. Secure the template and transfer paper to plate with another piece of tape.

3. Trace over the design with a pen or pencil. Lift the transfer paper occassionally to check what you’ve already covered.

4. Remove the template and tracing paper.

5. Paint over the template.

6. Glaze and fire.
