Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport

This visual identity document sets out the branding guidelines to ensure the integrity of Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport’s sub-brand/programme ‘GO GOLD Funding Programme’. LRS has provided these guidelines to describe how to effectively apply the GO GOLD logo on all communications both externally and internally.

Correct Brand Name and Description

‘Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport’s / LRS’ GO GOLD Funding Programme’

Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport (LRS), XXXXXXX (insert District Name) and partners are pleased to support talented young athletes through the GO GOLD Funding Programme.

The aim of GO GOLD is to support talented young athletes, including those athletes who are being recognised by their National Governing Bodies as our future Olympic, Paralympic, Special Olympic and Commonwealth Games athletes and potential medal winners.

Levels of Funding

Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sport are working with some of our Districts to continue offering two levels of athlete funding; Podium and Performance.

Podium – Athletes competing at Regional, National or International Level in an Olympic, Paralympic or Commonwealth discipline. This level is funded by Leicestershire County Council, and Rutland County Council. All eligible applicants will be automatically be put forward for Podium Level Funding.

Performance – Unsuccessful applicants at Podium Level will be automatically referred to their Local Authority for a Performance grant (£100) if their Local Authority is participating in the programme. This level is funded by Charnwood Borough Council, Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Leicester City Council, Melton Borough Council, North West Leicestershire District Council, Oadby and Wigston Borough Council and Rutland County Council.

Logos

The LRS GO GOLD Funding Programme logo must be used on ALL GO GOLD communications, including but not exclusive to; headed paper, reports, press releases, marketing material / merchandise, presentations, certificates and websites.

The LRS GO GOLD logo provides a simplified version of the logo above. This can be used in a support role when the full programme’s name and description are clearly visible nearby. In some situations it will not be practical to use the full logo due to size and space limitations, in this case the simplified logo can be used instead.

The District Performance Athlete logos are to be used to identify and profile those athletes supported at this level through the funding programme.

These logos can be used on appropriate communications (relating directly to the athletes/coaches), including but not exclusive to; headed paper, reports, press releases, marketing material / merchandise, presentations, certificates and websites.

The LRS logo must be used on ALL GO GOLD communications as an LRS sign-off, including but not exclusive to; headed paper, reports, press releases, marketing material / merchandise, presentations, certificates and websites.

The LRS logo should be positioned on the back cover/reverse of any communications, except where the promotion is only one-sided i.e. banners, posters, and then the LRS website logo should be included in a support role.
