With a history spanning 130 years, KWS boasts a blend of modern facilities and beautiful heritage- listed buildings, with contemporary infrastructure in place to support extensive academic and co- curricular programs. SCHOLARSHIPS ON OFFER KWS is pleased to offer Scholarships to future and continuing students entering Years 7 to 11 in the following categories: Academic, Music General Excellence and Ex-student. The School also offers a Boarding Bursary, Indigenous Bursary and an ICPA (Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association) Bursary. Applications for Bursaries are available on request. The 2018 Scholarship exam will be conducted in early 2017 with registrations via the KWS website.     February 2017 RESULTS 2016 > INTRODUCTION In 2016, 215 boys chose their own path to complete Year 12. Whether they selected the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC), the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB) or a nationally-recognised qualification through a Vocational Education Pathway (VET), each boy’s journey was unique. Irrespective of their scores and the comparisons between students and schools in the media, each boy’s individual journey has been just that – individual. As a school community, we are proud of the individual efforts of every boy and the personal milestones that have been achieved this year. The School has a strong history of excellent academic results along with a diverse co-curricular program. Kinross Wolaroi School is a non-selective school with over 1100 students (including 330 boarders in Years 7 to 12), located in the NSW Central Tablelands in the city of Orange. The School has a proud tradition of educating young people in an environment where ideals are based solidly on friendship, spirituality, the security of family values, hard work and the pursuit of excellence to the very best of one’s ability. The School offers the unique opportunity for co-educational learning with separate boarding sites for boys and girls. Students are provided with a holistic education with a varied curriculum to meet the diverse needs of our students. The School has two main campuses. The main campus, called Wolaroi, is a picturesque campus of 20 hectares and accommodates the main teaching facilities as well as the boarding facilities for boys boarding. A second campus, called PLC, is located approximately five kilometres west of the main campus (on the opposite side of the city of Orange) and houses the girls’ boarding facilities, a number of staff residences, a recreation and examination centre, an outdoor swimming pool and playing fields.
