The Rock ‘n’ Horsepower day will see a range of connoisseur cars, while putting on a top-class Polo match attracting celebrities, patrons and world class players to Hurtwood. Last year the club set a new world record by bringing together over 300 Ferrari Pininfarina-designed masterpieces. Among the cars on display was a 275 GTB Spider, a 250 GT SWB and a 365 Daytona. The event will see the whole family entertained from children’s activities to retail therapy. Kenney was inspired to hold the event for Prostate Cancer UK after he was diagnosed with the disease in summer 2013. He comments: “I decided to hold a fundraising event in support of Prostate Cancer UK at the Hurtwood Polo Club two years before I was diagnosed with prostate cancer myself. I thought it was a great way to engage with men, talk to them through what they love the most: cars, music and sport.” “Now, living with prostate cancer, I firmly believe that awareness is the key to raising the profile of the disease and helping charities, like Prostate Cancer UK continue to support men living with prostate cancer in the UK.I am looking forward to the event and I am delighted to be raising much needed funds to help the fight against prostate cancer.” Mark Bishop, Director of Fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, said: “We’re thrilled that Kenney is hosting The Rock ‘n’ Horsepower beneficiary at Hurtwood Park Polo Club to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK. It is with support like this that we can help provide dedicated support and information to men and their families affected by prostate cancer and fund research to help fight the disease.” “With over 40,000 men diagnosed with prostate cancer each year in the UK, with 5,600 of these in the South East, and one man dying every hour, it is our aim to help more men survive the disease and enjoy a better quality of life. We anticipate that the event will be a huge success.” Prostate Cancer UK is currently engaged in its high profile ‘Men United v Prostate Cancer’ campaign, which aims to build a united front of men against the disease. Kenney Jones along with Homeland star Damian Lewis, Sir Michael Parkinson and Klaxon guitarist Simon Taylor- Davis are some of Britain’s most iconic figures who have already signed for Men United, a unique team ‘managed’ by comedian Bill Bailey. Men are being asked to sign here where they can also test their health knowledge by taking a quick quiz. A Bourdieusian Methodology for the Sub-Field of Musical Production • The process is always iterative … so this paper presents a ‘work in progress’ … • The presentation represents the state of play in a third cycle through data collection and analysis …so findings are contingent and diagrams used are the current working diagrams! • The process begins with the most prominent agents in the field since these are the ones with the most capital and the best configuration. • "The Who Sings My Generation" (Album)
“The Who Sings My Generation”—The Who (1966) Added to the National Registry: 2008 Essay by Cary O’Dell Original album Original label The Who Founded in England in 1964, Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon are, collectively, better known as The Who. As a group on the pop-rock landscape, it’s been said that The Who occupy a rebel ground somewhere between the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, while, at the same time, proving to be innovative, iconoclastic and progressive all on their own. We can thank them for various now- standard rock affectations: the heightened level of decadence in rock (smashed guitars and exploding drum kits, among other now almost clichéd antics); making greater use of synthesizers in popular music; taking American R&B into a decidedly punk direction; and even formulating the idea of the once oxymoronic sounding “rock opera.” Almost all these elements are evident on The Who’s debut album, 1966’s “The Who Sings My Generation.” Though the band—back when they were known as The High Numbers—had a minor English hit in 1964 with the singles “I’m the Face”/”Zoot Suit,” it wouldn’t be until ’66 and the release of “My Generation” that the world got a true what’s what from The Who. “Generation,” steam- powered by its title tune and timeless lyric of “I hope I die before I get old,” “Generation” is a song cycle worthy of its inclusive name. Twelve tracks make up the album: “I Don’t Mind,” “The Good’s Gone,” “La-La-La Lies,” “Much Too Much,” “My Generation,” “The Kids Are Alright,” “Please, Please, Please,” “It’s Not True,” “The Ox,” “A Legal Matter” and “Instant Party.” Allmusic.com summarizes the album appropriately: An explosive debut, and the hardest mod pop recorded by anyone.

These new lugs hook onto bolts that at the shell’s nodal are attached to the shell, which allows the lug point. casings themselves to "float" eliminating any direct contact between the lug and the shell. As this design reduces the amount of hardware actually attached to the drum shell, the shell is allowed to vibrate freely. On an 11-inch shell the lug bolts, as well as the YESS mounting system, are all attached to the shell at its nodal point to greatly minimize influence on shell resonance to deliver maximum tone. Another benefit these lugs provide is when it comes time to change the head, it is no longer necessary to remove the tuning bolts from the lugs to remove the hoop. Just loosen the bolts enough to slide the lugs off of the bolts and the hoop comes right off. No more lost washers, etc. and head changes can be done quicker and easier than before. * Nodal point mounting is patented by the Nobel & Cooley Drum Company. Nylon Ring * Beside the Absolute Nouveau Lugs, the Absolute lugs that were offered on O Ring earlier models are also available.
