It provides systematic information about key topics of the cultural and civic orientation. It contains a comprehensive training program to ease the adaptation and the integration of refugees on the basis of complex knowledge of the host society and active interaction with the living civic, social and cultural mileu in the country. The training program could be applied flexibly according to the needs of the particular group of trainees. It studies the work of memory (its formation, inventing, and forgetting), depending on political conditions in the country and in comparison with Europe. Emphasis is put on absence of female educated elites in the Bulgarian collective memory and in national reputation elites. The paper studies through historical and anthropological approach the presences/absences of women intellectuals in “realms of memory” (Pierre Nora). The research is done basing on discourse analysis of memorial plaques, monuments, names of streets, and squares. 1. Commemorative Plaques The register of the Sofia Municipality and a field work are sources of the research of memorial plaques in Sofia placed in honor of Bulgarian and foreign women with contribution to the Bulgarian history. A total of 40 of memorial plaques were detected and studied. Plaques were placed irregularly in time and an enhanced public interest in this kind of activity has been observed in the last 10 years. The procedure accepted in the Regulations of the Sofia Municipality requires the submission of a proposal by a Steering Committee, documentary agreement by the owner of the building, support by a Municipal Councilor and a majority during voting by Sofia Municipal Council.

Using comparative case-study Governance analysis, this paper examines the extent to which nature-driven stewardship initiatives recognize and redress Stewardship inequalities. We compare two urban contexts that have undergone significant societal transformations over the Inequality last two to three decades: Sofia and Cape Town. The comparison shows how nature-driven stewardship in- Inclusive Cities in transition itiatives differentially address deeper roots of environmental, social and racial privilege shaped significantly by post-socialist and post-apartheid transition contexts. Instead of assuming a homogenous ideal of urban nature and focusing on questions of the distribution of urban nature and its access, this paper finds it is important to consider the kinds of social relations that are required to both shape decision-making processes and generate meaningful and diverse values and ways of relating to nature in the city. Furthermore, it finds that inclusive nature-based solution governance recognizes and redresses both inequalities in access and inequalities that perpetuate dominant views about what nature is and for whom nature is produced and maintained.

Bibliography 273 Abstract The nation-state is now the dominant form of sovereign statehood, however, a century and a half ago the political map of Europe comprised only a handful of sovereign states, very few of them nations in the modern sense. Balkan historiography often tends to minimize the complexity of nation-building, either by referring to the national community as to a monolithic and homogenous unit, or simply by neglecting different social groups whose consciousness varied depending on region, gender and generation. Further, Bulgarian and Serbian historiography pay far more attention to the problem of "how" and "why" certain events have happened than to the emergence of national consciousness of the Balkan peoples as a complex and durable process of mental evolution. This dissertation on the concept of nationality in which most Bulgarians and Serbs were educated and socialized examines how the modern idea of nationhood was disseminated among the ordinary people and it presents the complicated process of national indoctrination carried out by various state institutions.
