Global network to broadcast year‐end programs for revival and reformation initiatives

Viewers of , Hope Church Channel, Hope Channel International, and Hope Channel will find inspiration and motivation from church leaders during a year‐end series of programs on spiritual revival and reformation.

The Hope Channel network has created a series of television programs to air the last week of 2010 to help every church member, as well as other viewers around the world, participate in revival, reformation, and proclamation of Jesus as Lord and Savior.

“We hope to inspire a global movement among church members and leaders to earnestly seek a dynamic spiritual relationship with God,” says Brad Thorp, Hope Channel president. “We aim to encourage them to be part of this initiative to unite the world church behind this call for revival and reformation.”

The programs will all run under the heading of Revival and Reformation and are produced in conjunction with the General Conference of Seventh‐day Adventists’ initiative of the same name. They will include Christmas and New Year’s messages from Elder Ted N.C. Wilson, president of the Seventh‐day Adventist Church; a program emphasizing prayer and featuring interviews with each of the world church’s division presidents; and a series of daily inspirational messages from some of the church’s best‐known speakers.

Times and dates for all programs are available at www.HopeTV.org. The network encourages viewers to record the programs to play later for church services, Sabbath Schools, prayer meetings, vespers services, or other gatherings.

The programs begin December 25, 2010, on Hope Church Channel, Hope Channel International, and Hope Channel Europe with Wilson’s Christmas Day sermon, “Following the Path Jesus Took for Our Salvation” which will be translated into several major languages.

From December 26 through December 31, Hope Church Channel, Hope Channel International, and Hope Channel Europe will air a series of inspiring new revival messages by notable Adventists seen frequently on Hope Channel's global network. The series features pastors Derek Morris, C.D. Brooks, Doug Batchelor, Dwight Nelson, José Rojas, and .

Also on December 31, Hope Channel, Hope Church Channel, Hope Channel International, and Hope Channel Europe will broadcast a special 90‐minute program called “Revival and Reformation: A World Day of Prayer.”

“This program with church leaders will emphasize the role of prayer as a key to revival and, more importantly, will engage the world church in prayer at the start of the new year. Each division will share stories on how their members are praying for revival,” says Thorp. “‘Revival and Reformation: A World Day of Prayer’” is an unprecedented program for the global Seventh‐day Adventist family, bringing together top representatives of each of the 13 world divisions in moments of reflection and encouragement.”

To wrap up this inspirational week of exclusive programming, Hope Channel will broadcast a special message by Pastor Wilson from the Generation of Youth for Christ event in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 1, 2011.

“We pray this week of special programs will be a blessing and an encouragement to the world church and to others who may view these broadcasts on the Hope Channel network,” says Thorp.
