Bridgend has a unique geographical position, lying between the two city-regions in South Wales. Its proximity to the Cardiff Capital Region, and the historical transport links that connect the two areas, enhances the county borough’s potential to exploit a wider regional market. It is clear that improving transport and accessibility links between the county borough and both city-regions will enhance the county borough’s competitiveness.
