Fast forward to the 1950s and '60s to an enchanted winter wonderland where snow falls as ice skaters glide across the stage to close the first half of the show. Act 11 opens on a Country Church Christmas, with a com- ical children's cast reenactment of the Nativity Scene. This segment had to be seen to be believed, it was that funny. Our entire table was reduced to tears, we laughed that hard. The Nutcracker Suite that followed was a tab version of the • •••• -si'V; ,- '• full-length ballet. And my personal favorites were Raggedy Ann (Niki Allred), Raggedy Andy (well danced by Matt Munson), the brave Soldier (John Ramsey), Sugar Plum Ballerina (Carissa Bellando) and, last but not least, Bear Ballerinas (Jpdi and Laura). "The Swingin' Santa" finale was just that — a stand-up- and-cheer grand finale, including the Big Guy with the white beard and the red suit.     The Vol. 1 Issue 7 M a vTropical e r Paradise i c k May 2, 2011 By Meghan Darnell The Kiowa County High School Junior-Senior Prom was held at the Greens- This Month’s burg Recreation gym on April 16th. The promenade began at six in the evening, followed directly by the dinner. The prom theme was Tropical Night and the Features juniors decorated with tiki men and palm trees. For dinner, the juniors chose to o serve pork loin, a mashed potato casserole, green beans, Hawaiian rolls and fruit bowls with a key lime pie dessert. Honor At the dance, attendants were subjectivly entertained by a swing dance by Mr. Banquet... and Mrs. Calkins along with a dance-off between senior Shannon Webster and pg. 6 another student’s date. It was a very upbeat dance with two-steps, line-dances and the right balance of fast and slow songs. After the dance, students were allowed 30 minutes to change, and then were n bussed to the Mullinville gymnasium for After-Prom. At the After-Prom party, students were provided with a vast variety of games to win either cash or tickets for four big prizes that would be drawn at the end of the night. The big prizes were an Apple I-pad, an automobile tune-up set, a camera, an X-Box 360, a tele- vision and Blu-ray player and an I-pod touch. There were also prizes for guessing State Music... games. Television is gradually catching up with this statistic by including religious subject matter in more of the programs that air on its medium (one treatment per hour in 2003/2004 versus one every 3.3 hours in 1997). But the quality of those portrayals is cause for concern. In this sixth Parents Television Council study looking at the treatment of religion on primetime television, an entire year of programming was analyzed. In 2,385.5 hours of programming 2,344 treatments of religion were found. The previous study, done in 1997, found 551 treatments of religion in its 1,800 hours studied. Overall, negative depictions of religion surpassed those that are positive by a slim margin. However, depictions of aspects affiliated with organized religion were found to be overwhelmingly negative. The question, then, is does television’s treatment of religion truly reflect the viewpoints of the majority of Americans. A Gallup analysis done in 2003 found that 60% of Americans consider religion very important to them, while another 24% say it is fairly important. The Gallup poll found that roughly two-thirds of adult Americans consider themselves a member of a specific church or synagogue. Significantly, they also found that most Americans attend some sort of religious service once a month, at least; and a third of Americans do so on a weekly basis.

Hits Under Armour With TM Suit By Aaron Vehling Law360, New York (March 06, 2015, 2:07 PM ET) -- Hydro Clothing, an apparel brand featured on several VH1 reality shows featuring former Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav, on Thursday sued Under Armour Inc. in a California federal court, alleging that Under Armour’s similarly named products infringe on Hydro’s trademarks. Hydro Clothing, a name under which Cohen International Inc., does business, says in its suit that Under Armour’s line of shirts, board shorts, pants, hoodies and other apparel under the name “Hydro” and “Hydro Armour” is deceptive and likely to confuse consumers. The complaint also names Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc., which sells Under Armour’s clothing line. “[Under Armour]’s unauthorized use of the Hydro mark is a trademark use which is likely to confuse the reasonably prudent consumer into believing that [Under Armour]’s infringing apparel products are produced by Cohen,” the complaint says. “On information and belief, Dick’s and [other] retailers are continuing to sell [Under Armour] products bearing the Hydro mark, despite being requested in writing by Cohen to cease their infringement of the Hydro mark.” Before filing the lawsuit, Hydro Clothing also sent Under Armour directly a cease-and- desist notice, but the apparel company continues to promote and sell products under the Hydro mark, the complaint says.
