Technical Info - Sprint The sprint has been arranged around the Scandic Fornebu and offers a picture perfect view of the Oslo Fjord. The terrain is relatively flat and consists of varying surfaces. The courses will go through parks, densely populated residential areas, in terrain with rather dense vegetation, as well as around some of the country’s largest office buildings and headquarters for companies such as Telenor, Statoil and Aker Solutions. The running surface is mostly grass and solid ground (asphalt/concrete) as well as some smaller portions of the terrain being located on areas with varied runnability (forest/trail). Normal running shoes as well as terrain shoes (without metal spikes) will work well. If the forecast calls for or has had rain in recent days terrain shoes are suggested. Metal spiked shoes are forbidden in the sprint!

The map, «Fornebu», has been revised over 2017/2018. Scale 1: 4 000. Offset print for elite classes. Plastic paper print for ordinary classes. Areas are blocked according to current regulations, see NOF's website. Earlier version of the map: www.o-festivalen.no/gamle-kart/.

Page 2/8

Technical Info – Middle and Long Distance The arena for both the Middle and Long Distance is in Skytterkollen (215 masl) The terrain varies from 195 to 485 meters above sea level, and varies between open spruce forests with blueberry bushes, dense bushes with little undergrowth, dense spruce/deciduous forests and areas with thick undergrowth and rocky footing.

The lower portion of the map is a commonly used hiking area filled with small paths, thus quite a few small trails and staircases are found near the finish. The higher-lying areas are of partial wilderness with fewer trails, old growth forest, and offers very good runnability. Between the upper and lower portions many runners will pass through a steep li that offers variable runnability and is also home to many paths. Middels kupering. Innslag av hogst både i øvre, midtre og nedre del av terrenget.

The map, «Bærumsmarka», has been newly made throughout 2017/2018. Scale 1: 7.500 and 1: 10.000. Elite classes have a scale of 1: 15 000 during the Long Distance. The areas are sanctioned according to specific regulations, see NOF’s website for more information. Earlier version of the map: www.o- festivalen.no/gamle-kart/. Offset print for elite classes. Plastic paper print for ordinary classes.
