Co-workers are not always team players. People, well they are just people after all. But guess what? As much as it hurts to admit it, of- tentimes we too are to blame. Maybe we provoked a family member just to pick a fi ght? Perhaps we expect- ed too much from someone not truly capable of meet- ing our needs. Owning our share of responsibility when things go sideways can actually strengthen us. How, you ask? Well, for one thing we can now spotlight ways to possi- bly do things better or smarter next time. No one wants blame consistently laid at his or her feet. Not even you, right?

2: Blow off the “Show-Off Routine” Okay. So you may have stunning clothes, a really cool car, a fancy title, or a list of accomplishments up to the wazoo. Do your friends really like you because of your “stuff,” your credentials, or because you’re “you”? Twenty-four-karat relationships are genuine, not based on trying to make others like you owing to super- fi cial or external things. So how about if you quit trying so hard, stop editing so much, and just “be you.” If you are true to yourself, chances are that you will be true to your loved ones as well. It was once said: You may as well be you anyway. Ev- eryone else is taken.

3: Ditch the “Abrupt Interrupt” Ah, yes. We all interrupt. What’s so terrible about that anyway, eh? But is it as harmless as it seems? Think about this for a minute, sweet readers. When you interrupt someone, what message are you sending? “Hey, I’m not really listening to you or trying to un- derstand where you are coming from. Heck, I’m only half listening to you till I can say what I want to say, which is obviously so much more important.” On second thought, why don’t you try to focus on what your friend is saying? Don’t be shy. Ask questions to make sure you understand. Trust me: They will be so taken aback and veritably thankful.

4: Don’t be a “Control Troll” Yeah, yeah, you da man. You da woman. Yeah, you’re the head honcho. We all fantasize about being in charge at times, do we not? Rude awakening time? The only thing is this life you can even attempt to control is you. Trying to control oth- ers makes them feel that somehow your idea of how things ought to be, your views, and opinions are exceed- ingly more important than theirs. Not exactly a very welcome feeling is it. In addition, how do you go about controlling others anyway? Through fear, pressure, unspoken threats? No, no. That is legitimately the last way to get people to want to go where you’re going in life.

The West cannot fathom that there exists an intractable enemy that would rather die than live. The West cannot comprehend an enemy that seeks Israel’s destruction no matter the price. While hopefully all parties are in a more secure relationship with each other by this time, there are still things that can and do go wrong. These may include the bank appraisal not coming in at full value, something breaking or happening to the house/property, a violation on the property issued or discovered, or some kind of breakdown in communication between any of the parties involved. As a transaction progresses, and a sense of comfort develops in both buy- ers and sellers, they should be advised that “it ain’t over till it’s over.” While we always certainly hope (and pray) for the best, there are still things that may arise, causing severe complications even resulting in the transaction breakdown. An example of this: A woman is expect- ing a baby towards the end of a purchase and her income is being relied on as well for mortgage approval. I have experi- enced this more than once, where a lend- er pulled back the mortgage due to the woman being out of work due to preg- nancy or childbirth. Another problem would be violations being discovered that were previously unnoted. If there is any change in income of anyone being relied on for the mortgage approval, for example if someone loses his or her job, suffers an accident, or other types of inci- dents affecting income, a mortgage may be pulled back as well. Even where there is no mortgage involved, if something
