CLC/215/MS31280 Lists of debentures, petition and warrant for 1688 - 1720 payment of debentures issued by the Board of Ordnance to Thomas Cass. Thomas Cass, father of Sir John Cass, was a carpenter. Between 1670-8, by order of the Board of Ordnance, he furnished stores in garrisons in Virginia and England and several navy stores, and erected and repaired various buildings in and around the Towerof London and provided materials.|He was not paid for this work but debentures were made out to him by the Board of Ordnance for several thousand pounds, still outstanding in 1720. 1 envelope containing 13 items, paper and parchment Former reference: MS 31280

The latter half of the volume is blank.|The provenance of this book is uncertain. It could perhaps be a City Parochial Foundation record but Cooke is not listed in the CPF's history as an employee.
