SHOW STARTS Saturday at 8 a.m. EST

NO DOGS ALLOWED – Working Service Dogs will be admitted – Service Dogs in Training will NOT be admitted.

There will be NO saving space for other exhibitors after 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. Last year, we had exhibitors who had to set up outside because they couldn’t find room inside the building. After 7:00 a.m. we will be compressing any spaces that we think are taking up too much room so that we have enough space for the exhibitors that come in on Saturday morning. The building opens at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Everyone should bring only essentials – one chair per person or less, but no more. If you have them, bring tables to place your rabbits on and put your “stuff” under the tables. Tighten up your spots so there’s no wasted space. Stack carriers if you can. No empty carts in the building unless they are being stored under a table or carriers. Exhibitors should make every effort to be at the show room as early as possible on Saturday.

LUNCH – Bountiful Blessings Bakery will be our vendor for lunch on SATURDAY again. They will, most likely, be serving in the Multi-Purpose building (Cavy building). They will be making all sandwiches using homemade breads. The chicken salad, pimiento cheese, salad and desserts are all made from scratch at the bakery. We do not serve lunch on Sunday.

REGISTRAR - Donna Barabas will be our rabbit registrar again this year, and Jennifer Green will be available to register your cavies. Bring pedigrees, current ARBA membership card, and $6.00 per rabbit if you want your animals registered. If you can bring a copy of your pedigree for Donna and Jennifer to keep that makes it much easier. Make sure your pedigree is complete, including weights on each animal.

EMERGENCY PHONE - In case of emergency, Phil and Karin Humfleet will have their cell phones at the show. (423) 488-3158, Phil - (706) 639-7379, Karin

SHOW RULES

1. This show will be governed by the latest rules of the ARBA. Filing of entries indicates acceptance of our show rules.

2. Neither the NWGCRC nor North GA Fairgrounds will be responsible for loss in case of fire, theft or accident. All precautions will be taken for a safe show. All entries are entered and shown at the risk of the owners and while the NWGCRC and North GA Fairgrounds are expected to exercise all reasonable care in the handling and protection of the exhibits, such associations will in no case be liable.

3. No substitutions will be allowed except in the same breed, variety, sex and class. Any other changes will be charged a late entry fee as if entering a new rabbit, and the original entry will still be charged as if scratched.

4. All rabbits and cavies must be permanently and legibly ear marked.

5. NWGCRC reserves the right to add, change, or substitute judges as the need may arise.

6. Any exhibitor indicating ownership, harassing, or interfering with a judge (or a writer) will be disqualified and forfeit all fees and winnings. No exhibitor will be allowed behind the judging tables, unless acting in an official capacity, which must be approved by the show superintendent or show secretary.

7. Exhibitors are responsible for checking entries for errors and making changes BEFORE judging begins. Entry fees must be paid in full. Exhibitors are responsible for all exhibitor fees unless a 48 hr. cancellation notice was received. Should you enter and not attend, you will be billed for your entry fees. Your mail, email or online entry is a contract and fees are payable regardless of your attendance. Exhibitors that do not come to the show will be sent a bill and will not be allowed to enter animals in future NW Georgia C&RC shows until the bill is paid. Exceptions may be made in cases of emergency or unforeseen illness. New exhibitors with less than 12 entries per day of show (4 entries per show), may be exempted. Repeat offenders will be charged!

8. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE PAID BY 7:30 A.M. EST, THE MORNING OF THE SHOW.

9. The show will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. EST. Please be on time.

10. Rabbits and cavies must be in leakproof carriers/cages

11. Show management are compelled to refuse entry to show room and to remove from the same, all diseased or unsightly animals. All entry fees on such animals shall be forfeited.

12. This is a no comment card show – we will be using control sheets only at the judges table.

13. No dogs are allowed in the showroom without permission; Working Service Dogs will be admitted. If you see an animal in the building, other than rabbits or cavies, it’s best to speak with the superintendent or secretary first.

14. Each parent is accountable for the actions and/or conduct of their child/children at the show site. If any damages occur, you will be financially responsible for the repair or replacement of the damages. NO SKATEBOARDS, roller skates/rollerblades, scooters, etc are allowed in the building or on the Fair property.

15. Adults are not to place rabbits on or off the show table for the youth shows. Youth rabbits must be put on the judging table by a youth.

16. NO CHANGES MAY BE MADE AT THE JUDGING TABLES other than those approved by the show secretary – Unapproved changes may result in your animal being disqualified by the secretary after the show.

17. PLEASE CHECK ALL YOUR PAPERWORK before the show starts – each sheet for each show! YOU are responsible for the information that is on the check-in sheets. If there is an error, either because the secretary typed it wrong or because you provided the information wrong, you must make the changes BEFORE the show starts. Please note that there is usually a line at the desk to make entries/changes so get there early enough.

Exhibitors are responsible for getting their rabbits to and from the judging tables. We will make 3 calls, from the judging table, for judging and then the rabbits on the table will be judged; rabbits not on the table will be passed over. Judging for Show B may start before Show A finishes. Please make sure you are listening for your breed so that you are not passed over for judging.

18. No rabbits under 8 weeks of age will be allowed on the show premises.

19. No sales of any rabbits or cavies will be allowed by anyone not showing rabbits or cavies.

Any exhibitor wishing to sell anything other than rabbits or cavies must pay a vendor fee and must receive permission BEFORE the show. No product pre-sales or pre-orders or deliveries may be made at the show site without permission - in the building or on the Fair grounds.

20. ARBA Show Rule YOUTH SECTION 51. Youth may not enter their rabbit or cavy in both open and youth classes at the same show, which is sponsored by the same club. Youth may make entries in both open and youth classes with different animals.

This means that an animal may be shown in the Youth show(s) OR Open show(s) but not both. ANYONE may show in an Open show, regardless of age, but ONLY those exhibitors between the ages of 5 and 18 may show in the Youth shows – if an exhibitor is 4 years old, they must show in the Open show and if an exhibitor is 19 years old, they must show in the Open show.

21. As a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, the NW Georgia CRC reserves the right to refuse entries from all locations within 150 miles which has had a confirmed outbreak of RCD/RHD/VHD within the past 60 days of the entry deadline.

22. YOUTH SHOW RULES – are the SAME as for Open show.

23. Only current ARBA recognized breeds and varieties, or breeds and varieties with a current Certificate of Development will be allowed to be shown, as per ARBA rules. Please bring a copy of a working standard for the judges.

24. There will be NO saving space for other exhibitors after 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. After 7:00 a.m. we will be compressing any spaces that we think are taking up too much space.

Best In Show Judging: Best in show rabbits will be chosen at the end of the day after the completion of all shows, to eliminate the possibility of unfairly influencing any judge that may be judging animals in the later shows. If you cannot stay for the conclusion of the last show, please arrange to leave your BOB animals with a friend for the BIS competitions.

ADA Regs regarding Service Animals https://www.ada.gov/regs2010/service_animal_qa.pdf

Q1 Under the ADA, a service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person's disability.

Q23 ….However, if a particular service animal behaves in a way that poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others, has a history of such behavior, or is not under the control of the handler, that animal may be excluded.

Q27 The ADA requires that service animals be under the control of the handler at all times…..The service animal must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered while in public places unless these devices interfere with the service animal's work or the person's disability prevents use of these devices. ….. may not allow the dog to wander away from her and must maintain control of the dog

This means that there will be no barking, whining, no signs of aggression (including low growling and baring teeth), no service dogs not under the DIRECT control of the handler, no disruptive behavior, etc. Your service dog must be leashed, harnessed, or tethered at all times and you must be in CONSTANT control of the leash.
