Reason for Choice of Name (if a Isabela is the nearest where the seamount is located. It is the second person, state how associated with the largest province of the , and the largest on the island of in land feature to be named): area. Its capital is the city of . The province of Isabela used to be a vast rainforest where numerous indigenous ethno-linguistic groups lived. Many of the same ethnic groups still live in the province. The name Isabela Seamount was chosen due to its proximity to the province.
