Cost of Assistance (Details on Tab E) • The estimated cost of assistance provided by the national and local government amounted to Php11.736 Million B . Cluster Response Health and WASH • DOH HEMS–OPCEN augmented assorted medicines and medical supplies worth Php125,212.00 while the CHD II distributed /delivered drugs and medical supplies, compact food and water disinfectants (waterine solutions) to the municipality of Tuao, Tuguegarao City and Isabela Province amounting to Php76,183.00 Food and Non-Food Items • NDCC OPCEN facilitated the release of 3,550 sacks of rice worth Php3.24Million to PDCCs Isabela, Cagayan, Aurora and Camarines Norte ; CDCC Tuguegarao, MDCCs Amulung, Alcala, Aparri, Enrile, Cagayan, Ilagan, Isabela and Labo, Camarines Norte to augment emergency relief operations being conducted by concerned DCCs/LGUs. • DSWD provided relief augmentation support / assistance to the affected LGUs of Cagayan, Isabela and Aurora amounting to Php1,066,434.64; • Released additional standby funds worth P800,000.00 to DSWD-FOs II and III on November 25, 2008 for the purchase of supplies for emergency needs of affected families: Region III Php300,000.00 and Region II Php500,000.00; and • Prepositioned P3.37 Million worth of relief resources readily available for release as augmentation support to affected LGUs whenever necessary. Breakdown: Standby funds P 1,517,956.44 Food 1,706,898.11 Non-food 143,410.00 • DPWH Engineering Districts mobilized five (5) units pay loader, 1 bulldozer and 1 dump truck to various road sections and bridges in the provinces of Aurora, Cagayan, Isabela, Camarines Norte and Kalinga which were reported closed to traffic due to floodwaters and series of landslides Regional Responses Region V • OCD facilitated the requests/releases of rice assistance for the LGUs of Camarines Norte and utilization of PAF assets on the conduct of damage and needs assessment in Camarines Norte • Endorsed the request of Governor Jesus Typoco of Camarines Norte to Regional DA for certified palay seeds, assorted vegetable seeds, corn seeds and assorted planting materials to fast track the rehabilitation of areas. • Coordinated with DSWD V on the relief distribution requirements and possible deployment of tents for temporary shelter of evacuees in Labo, Camarines Norte 2 • Endorsed the request of Mayor Tito Sarion of Daet, Camarines Norte for food supplies, construction materials, medicines, potable water and rescue gears for the affected families to RDs of DSWD and DOH • DSWD V provided 200 sacks of rice to the affected municipalities in Camarines Norte amounting to P182,500.00 in addition to the relief goods worth Php366,362.00 • ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya conducted relief operations and provided food assistance in Labo, Camarines Norte Region II • OCD assisted/facilitated various requests from PDCCs Isabela and Cagayan in terms of emergency response and relief assistance for the victims of floodings and closely coordinated for the intensification of monitoring the extent of damages and responding to the needs of vulnerable communities in both provinces • RDCC II conducted aerial inspection/survey on the extent of damage caused by flooding in Cagayan and isabela Region III • OCD III coordinated with 7 th ID, Fort Magsaysay for the availability of two (2) choppers to airlift relief goods from the Provincial Capitol of Aurora to the affected municipalities of Casiguran, Dinalungan and Dilasag • PDCC Aurora conducted relief operations in the affected municipalities with the assistance of two (2) choppers provided by 7 th ID Fort Magsaysay, Bongabon, Nueva Ecija on November 24, 25 and 26, 2008 • DSWD FO III has standby family food packs worth P300,000.00 ready for pick up to augment the requirement in the affected areas of Aurora CAR • PDCC Kalinga and LGUs of the municipalities of Rizal and Lubuagan distributed relief goods to the affected families such as rice, noodles and sardines Damage and Needs Assessment • OCDRCs II, III, V, XI and CAR coordinated with LGUs thru the MSWDO for the conduct of assessment/validation of the affected families to determine appropriate social work interventions like food for work, livelihood assistance and etc Areas Declared • PDCC Cagayan, CDCC Tuguegarao City, and MDCC Ilagan in Isabela declared their respective areas under a State of Calamity to utilize portion of their 5% local Calamity Fund Search and Rescue Operations • OCD II in coordination with contingents from PNP conducted field assessment in the flooded barangays of Amulung and Alcala, Cagayan and ocular survey in some evacuation centers in said municipalities;
