Since the day it was finished, art students have journeyed to Milan to view the work, which takes up a refectory wall in a Dominican convent next to the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. THE MACCHIAIOLI ARTISTS AS EXERCISE FOR ART WORK READING Abstract This work has the goal of elaborating reflections which can collaborate with an important topic in art teaching: the artwork reading or analysis. In these studies, greatly approached by art history and art education theorists, there is a vast bibliography both national and international. To elaborate such a study, we thought of analysing a work by an Italian artist belonging to a group called Macchiaioli, which was important in representing the Impressionism and which is also neglected by History of Art.
