PRG: Sykesville to McKeldin Update to BPAG March 17, 2021 DATE PRG Overview • Patapsco Regional Greenway is a proposed 40-mile, shared-use trail running through the Patapsco Valley State Park from the Inner Harbor to Sykesville. • Completed segments include: – Freedom Park Trail (Carroll Co. 1.6 miles) – Grist Mill Trail (Baltimore Co. 5.3 miles) – Gwynns Falls at the Middle Branch (Baltimore City 1.6 miles) – Gwynns Falls Trail at Ridgely’s Cove (Baltimore City 1.0 miles) – Jones Falls Trail at the Inner Harbor (Baltimore City 0.4 miles) – Waterfront Promenade (Baltimore City 1.3 miles) – Port Covington Waterfront Parks (Baltimore City 1.2 miles) 2 Sykesville to McKeldin, Carroll County Preliminary Design: Feb 2021 – Dec 2021 Tasks completed to date: • Kickoff Meeting 2/5/21 • Established bi-weekly progress meetings • Steering Committee site visit 2/17 (primarily for the downtown section) • Preparing for site visit for Freedom Park Trail to PVSP McKeldin area • Existing data collection – Local planning documents, obtained County GIS data, cultural and natural resource data • Established contact information for the Advisory Committee.
