IN MEMORIAM

David Bentley FCPA, FCA and Janet Bentley. In March 2018, the Foundation was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Janet Bentley. Months later in June 2018, Mr. Bentley also passed. During their life, the Bentley’s brought positive and long-lasting changes to many people’s lives through their compassion and kindness. Their generosity was boundless, the Bentley’s sense of caring profound. They will be deeply missed, and their legacy of giving will be felt for a long time.

John Lorne Baxter FCPA, FCA. Lorne was a proud Albertan who was born and raised in Calgary. His first accounting firm in Calgary was Alger Baxter & Co., which later merged with P.S. Ross & Sons (then Touche Ross, now Deloitte). There he spent his career enjoying work with his many friends, colleagues and clients in Canada and Japan. The Baxter family helped establish the J. Lorne Baxter Memorial Fund and continue to be engaged with the Foundation. THANK YOU, DONORS

Donors are very important to the CPA Education Foundation. Without their generosity, the Foundation could not positively impact accounting education and engage with those who inspire and develop future Alberta CPAs. We thank them for their endless generosity and continued support of the Foundation’s efforts.
