Ojämlik hälsa i Stockholms län – fakta om rökning En resa genom Stockholms tunnelbanenät är en resa mellan olika världar med sina egna förutsättningar och villkor. I innerstaden och de mer välbeställda villaförorterna är utbildningsnivån hög och arbetslösheten är marginell, medan det omvända gäller i vissa förorter. Det är känt sedan tidigare att socioekonomiska faktorer och hälsa hänger ihop. Men det är inte bara inkomst och utbildningsnivå som påverkar hälsan. Rökning och övervikt är också viktiga faktorer. Skillnaderna blir tydliga när man ser på variationen i medellivslängd mellan olika kommuner och stadsdelar, fyra respektive fem år för kvinnor och män. Rökning i miljonprogramsområdena Här nedan presenterar vi statistik som på olika sätt beskriver rökningsrelaterad ohälsa i två ändar av tunnelbanenätet, dels Skärholmen som ligger långt ut på den röda linjen i det sydvästra hörnet av tunnelbanenätet, dels Rinkeby som ligger nästan längst ut på den blå linjen i tunnelbanenätets nordvästligaste hörn. Dessa stockholmsförorter är exempel på det som brukar kallas miljonprogrammet, arkitektoniskt homogena komplex uppförda på 1960- och 70-talen, med stor andel utrikesfödd befolkning och hög arbetslöshet – och därmed flera av de socioekonomiska faktorer som förknippas med en sämre folkhälsa. Tydligt samband mellan rökning och socioekonomisk status Skärholmen och Rinkeby-Kista intar de översta placeringarna på listan över kommuner/stadsdelar med störst andel dagligrökare, medan motsvarande lista för lägst antal dagligrökare toppas av innerstadsområden -

200220 Arbets PM – Bostadsutbyggnad i Hemfosa 1 200220 2 200220 3 200220 Sammanfattning Hemfosa är en geografisk plats söder om Stockholm längs Nynäsbanan och väg 73 mellan Haninge och Nynäshamn. En ÅVS har initierats för att utreda hur förändringar i markanvändningen på denna plats kan komma påverka resenärsströmmar etc. För att få en uppfattning om detta används Trafikverkets prognosmodell Sampers (version 1804). Detta PM avser teknisk dokumentation av genomförda analyser. Genomförd studie ämnar beskriva konsekvenser av en potentiell utbyggnad med 12 000 bostäder i Hemfosa. Detta skulle innebära etablering av ca 28 000 nya boenden och ca 6 500 arbetsplatser enligt de antaganden som har gjorts inom ramen för denna studie. Dessa 28 000 boenden och 6 500 arbetsplatser antas omfördelas från kommuner i södra Stockholms län. Detta innebär exempelvis att Haninge kommun kommer ha en starkare befolkningsutveckling än inom Trafikverkets basprognos, men den totala befolkningen i Stockholms län står sig oförändrad. Omfördelning av ca 28 000 boenden innebär att ca 1 % av befolkningen i länet omfördelas till Hemfosa. De infrastrukturmässiga investeringar som antagits i modellen är en ny väg med anslutning till väg 73 samt förlängning av pendeltågstrafiken från Tungelsta till Hemfosa innebärande att pendeltågen kommer att trafikera med 15 minuters intervall till Hemfosa. De inre delarna av väg 73 är idag en av de mest belastade vägsträckorna i Stockholms transportsystem, med kilometerlånga köer under morgonrusning1. Prognoserna för 2040 visar på ökad belastning på sträckan, även med utbyggnad av Tvärförbindelsen. Analyserna av Hemfosa indikerar att utbyggnaden leder till än ökad belastning på sträckan, även om resultaten från den grova modell som har använts bör tolkas med viss försiktighet. -

CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION THE GREENEST CITY? Jonathan Metzger and Amy Rader Olsson THE EUROPEAN UNION inaugurated the European Green Capital Award in 2010. The annual prize recognizes the consistent record of high envi- ronmental standards and commitment to ongoing and ambitious goals for further environmental improvement of one city within the European Union, which can then function as a role model to inspire and “promote best practice experiences in all other European cities” (European Green Capital, 2009). The first city to receive this award was Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Positioned on the Baltic rim, on the northern outskirts of Europe, Stockholm has long been renowned for its distinctive waterfront and exten- sive foliage, truly making this “Venice of the North” worthy of the moniker Green (and blue!) Capital in the literal sense of the term. But of course, in relation to urban development the adjective “green” also implies so much more, functioning as a synonym for sustainability, or sustainable develop- ment. The classic definition of sustainable development, as formulated in the Brundtland Report (World Commission on Environment and Development, 1987), states that sustainable development is development that “meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” In many contexts, the term is also used in a broad sense to denote action toward securing, sustaining, and developing the global preconditions for human life across multiple generations, while simultaneously paying attention to human well-being and prosperity, as well as safeguarding sensitive ecosystems and finite natural resources (for a more detailed discussion, see Chapter 3). -

Nordvästra Kungsholmen (Hornsberg/Lindhagensgatan) Allmänt Nordvästra Kungsholmen består av stadsdelarna Stadshagen och Kristineberg. Kring Stadshagens inre delar dominerar S:t Görans sjukhus och andra offentliga arbetsplatser inom ut- bildning och vård. I de yttre delarna, norr om Lindhagensgatan förekommer främst tillverkning och fi- nansiell verksamhet. Arbetsområdet är varierat och karaktäriseras av en blandning av byggnader från olika perioder. Essingeledens sträckning genom området utgör en tydlig barriär. I Kristineberg finns arbetsplatserna på södra sidan av Lindhagensgatan. Här dominerar SLs bussgarage och Octapharma. Läge och tillgänglighet Nordvästra Kungsholmen har mycket god tillgänglighet med bil. Essingeleden passerar genom området och Drottningholmsvägen går genom områdets södra del. Ett parkeringshus har byggts under Essingele- den. Med kollektiva färdmedel nås området med buss och tunnelbana. Tunnelbanestationer finns i anslut- ning till området Stadshagen - Kristineberg - Thorildsplan. Kommersiell service Det finns för närvarande dåligt med kommersiell service arbetsområdena. Hösten 2009 öppnas dock ett köpcenter på Lindhagensgatan i f.d. Skogaholms brödfabrik. Se punkt 4 nedan. Närheten till Fridhems- plan gör dock att ett relativt stort utbud finns i närheten. Ett antal restauranger finns i området. 25 Näringslivsstruktur Den dominerande verksamheten återfinns inom läkemedelsindustrin och är Octapharma. S:t Görans sjukhus utgör en stor del av området. Genom den omvandling som pågår i området har näringslivet en unik chans att utvecklas till ett av Stockholmsregionens största och modernaste företagsområde med bl. a IT-, bioteknik- och biomedicinfö- retag och småföretagscentrum. Det finns idag ca 280 företag och 12 700 anställda. Övergripande planer För Nordvästra Kungsholmen har ett planprogram tagits fram. Ambitionen är att skapa en ny stadsbe- byggelse som innehåller bostäder, arbetsplatser, service och grönområden, enligt inriktningen i Över- siktsplan 99, där området är markerat som ett stadsutvecklingsområde. -
