NOS FESTIVALS STAND OUT AT THE SECOND PORTUGAL FESTIVAL AWARDS With 6 awards won by NOS Alive and by NOS Primavera Sound, NOS takes pride of place among the big winners on the night.

Best Large Scale Festival, Best Urban Festival, Best Poster, Best Live Performance – International Artists, and Best WCs – NOS Alive left the Portugal Festival Award ceremony yesterday in Gaia with these five awards while NOS Primavera Sound succeeded in winning the Contribution to Tourism prize.

With these results, 6 prizes in all, NOS was one of the winning brands at this year’s event.

Behind this success are two of the most important promoters in Portugal: Everything is New (responsible for NOS Alive) and Pic-Nic (responsible for NOS Primavera Sound), key partners of NOS in its strategy of sponsorships in music. These awards are a recognition of all the dedication and professionalism put into the organisation of yet another edition of two benchmark festivals in Portugal, two events that have a huge impact on projecting the country’s image abroad and bringing tourists to Portugal from all over the world.

About the Portugal Festival Awards

The Portugal Festival Awards is an event that distinguishes the best music festivals in Portugal. The objective of the prizes is to recognise the effort involved in organising and producing the music festivals and so to award prizes to those that have stood out the most in a range of categories.

The choice of winners is made by the general public voting online and by a jury, which was made up this year by: Zé Pedro (Xutos & Pontapés), Tó Trips (Dead Combo), Miguel Cadete (BLITZ/Expresso), Ana Teresa Ventura (SIC), Álvaro Costa e Nuno Calado (Antena 3), Ana Markl (Canal Q), Joana Cruz (RFM), Pedro Ramos (Radar), Rita Carmo (BLITZ), and other well known personalities in music, tourism, media sustainability and advertising.
