ETEP Results 2012 P. 76 ETEP Results 2011 P. 80 ETEP Results 2010 P. 82 For those few who don’t know, this initiative of Eurosonic Noorderslag, originated ETEP Results 2009 P. 84 by Peter Smidt and Ruud Berends, was introduced to make the “exchange” of ETEP Results 2008 P. 86 European artists across Europe possible on a greater scale than ever before. ETEP Results 2007 P. 88 ETEP then facilitates the bookings of European acts on festivals and generates ETEP Results 2006 P. 90 extensive radio and media exposure for these artists in co-operation with the ETEP Results 2005 P. 92 European Broadcasting Union and local media. The intention was - and still is - to ETEP Results 2004 P. 94 give a boost to the careers of European acts. ETEP Results 2003 P. 96 CEETEP P. 97 There is no doubt that ETEP has been more than successful in achieving its aims, CEETEP Results 2015 P. 98 and the figures speak for themselves: CEETEP Results 2014 P. 99 CEETEP Results 2013 P. 100 In 2003 the first ETEP resulted in 53 shows being played by 23 acts from 8 CEETEP Results 2012 P. 101 countries at 23 festivals in 13 countries. In total since then ETEP has facilitated 3518 shows by 1254 artists in over 30 countries. Last year, the programme’s 15th year, for the third time in a row managed to generate a record number of bookings for upcoming music talent on European festivals. With a total of 424 shows by 164 acts in over 30 countries, ETEP 2017 continued to facilitate the circulation of fresh, bright, young talent across the continent. As the exchange and support of new European music in Europe is one of the main goals of Eurosonic Noorderslag, ETEP was introduced in 2003. Each year ETEP brings together the leading European festivals, radio and other media and stimulates them to ‘exchange’ a selection of artists. Since the start of the ETEP programme in 2003 a total of 3518 shows by 1254 European 3518 SHOWS / IN 15 YEARS / BY 1254 ARTISTS artists were presented in over 30 countries (2003 - 2017). GENERAL OBJECTIVES The main objective of the ETEP project is to facilitate the circulation of European music, artists and productions and have the music industry and media working together to promote acts and their repertoire. THERE ARE FOUR SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: • To have as many as possible European acts programmed at as many European festivals as possible; • To promote European acts not only on festivals but in parallel through extensive media coverage; • To stimulate the music industry and media to work on the circulation European music repertoire; • To boost the international careers for European artists. Neste contexto, o acontecimento com maior visibilidade foi decerto a inauguração do complexo das novas instalações de Lisboa, na Avenida Marechal Gomes da Costa. Desde 31 de Março de 2004 que a RTP e a RDP estão a operar em novas e modernas instalações, dotadas de excelentes condições de trabalho e dos mais modernos dispositivos tecnológicos da era digital. Nas mesmas instalações funcionam também os serviços da Rádio e Televisão de Portugal SGPS, que integram as áreas de gestão partilhadas pelas empresas do Grupo – RTP Serviço Público de Televisão e RDP – Radiodifusão Portuguesa. Quanto à RTP – Meios de Produção, ainda instalada no Lumiar, a sua inclusão no perímetro da Marechal Gomes da Costa deu os primeiros e decisivos passos com a preparação da construção da Fase II das novas instalações, as quais deverão completar-se até finais de 2006. Para além de uma curta história do meio no nosso país, dá informação sobre os grupos de rádio, mercado publicitário, públicos e audiências e políticas de incentivos. The sector covers all music, theatre, dance, circus and similar live performance activities run by private for-profit or not-for- profit entities operationally not fully dependent on the public sector even if partly rely on public subsidies. Precise statistics on the size of the sector in question are not available but existing data point to employment totalling around 100,000 in the five countries, while the number of entities concerned by far exceeds that of public institutions in the sector.

    Approaches: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Music Therapy | Special Issue 9 (2) 2017 SPECIAL ISSUE Guided Imagery and Music: Contemporary European perspectives and developments Article ‘New Blood’: A contemporary GIM programme Svein Fuglestad ABSTRACT This article is a presentation of a new contemporary Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) program based on orchestral re-recordings of various tracks by the English pop and rock musician Peter Gabriel. The intention is to share with the GIM community the author’s own experiences and perspectives using this music from the popular music genre with individual clients. The different pieces in the music programme are presented and described using the MIA intensity profile, Hevner’s Mood Wheel and the taxonomy of music. Whether the use of non-classical music is consistent with the individual form of the Bonny Method of GIM will be discussed, together with the potential advantages of repetitions and recognitions due to simplicity in structure, form and harmonies in building safety for clients within a therapeutic setting. He is an AMI-Fellow/BMGIM therapist (2006) and cand. philol. in musicology (1996), and has been practising GIM with people affected by HIV/AIDS, sexually abused men, and female victims of incest. Fuglestad was GIM therapist in the Norwegian Research Council project Music, Motion, and Emotion. He is a singer and a musician.
