We are now about to separate, to leave this hall, and to return to our homes. My desire is that you may long enjoy health a.nd happiness, and upon your return fo your homes may find your friends and families well, with cheerful and joyful faces to, wel- come you to their companionship. ·

Our thanks are due to our highly esteemed Chaplain for his efforts to commit us to the protecting care of an .All Wis~ Provi­ dence ; to our industrious and accom,modating Clerk for the effi­ cient' aid rendered in the .faithful discharge of all his duties; our . Sergeant-at-Arms for the modest and .affable manner in which he has discharged the duties pertaining to his office, and last, though by no means least, our intelligent and ob'1iging little Messenger, w.ho by his winning smiles and correct deportment, has endeared himself to our hearts and memories. In conclusion, Senators, let me say that I hope each and all of us may bear in grateful recollection the hours we have passed together, and that they will ever live as green spots in our memories. With the hope that the richest blessings of Heaven may rest upon you all, I now, in pursuance of the joint resolution passed by both Houses of the General Assembly, adjourn the Senate Binedie.
