VOLUNTEERS: The Radnor Township Recreation & Community Programming Department has a year-round line up of community events. A variety of activities and volunteer opportunities are available: help with event set-up and take-down, supervise event tables, lead games and activities, manage parking, coach for Radnor Youth Basketball, and other various tasks. He earned his record- breaking 109th win on Jan. 28 with a 3-1 victory against Springfield's Joey Sciarrino. As of Feb. 14, Tom was 33-0 with a career win-loss mark of 114-15. The top seed in the Central League Wrestling Tournament earlier this month, Tom took home gold in the 170-pound weight class. He swept through the tournament’s three rounds, pinning his first round opponent in just 50 seconds. Tom has finished first in each of the last four Radnor Holiday Wrestling Tournaments, joining older brothers John (Class of 2009) and Bob (Class of 2011) for a total of 10 first-place finishes in 10 appearances in the BOARD MEETING AGENDA FEBRUARY 24, 2015 Radnor tournament. Combining Tom's career record with Bob’s (104-14) and John’s (80-13), the three Meyers brothers are 298-42 at Radnor. The record for all-time wrestling wins at RHS was previously held by Randall Braunfield, who wrestled for the University of Pennsylvania following his tenure at RHS more than 20 years ago.

Our financial health is solid. We are making headway at addressing the unfunded liabilities and our Bond Rating was recently reaffirmed with very positive comments. Our auditors have given us a fine report with no significant findings, contrasted with only a few years ago where several significant findings were identified. And we have not had to raise taxes to fund our operations although there will be a small increase to service the debt associated with the open space purchase. By the time you read this the purchase of 71 acres of beautiful open space (part of Ardrossan) will have been completed and we will be planning for the development of a fine trail network. As you may realize, this purchase provides our citizens with a lovely 200 acre park extending from Lawrence Lane/Godfrey Road to Church Road along Darby Paoli Road. You will be able to hike from the Willows all the way to Godfrey Rd. and only cross a single street (Sawmill Rd.) and the beautiful vista that we all have learned to love, which symbolizes Radnor Township will exist forever. This has not been a year without contention, however. The development of the Ardrossan Estate was fought vigorously by the neighbors.

    Fall 2013 • Volume 10 • Number 02 MAGAZINE ADVENTURES IN DIGITAL MEDIA Page 14 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT To the Cabrini College Community, Since July, when I transitioned from Board Chair to Interim President, among my top priorities has been keeping alumni better informed about the College and involving them even more in the life of the College. Some of these efforts already are underway. 3 In August, we began a new tradition in the Matriculation Ceremony by having an alumna/us welcome incoming first-year and transfer students. Trustee David Regn ’97 presented the “Alumni Welcome Address” this year. 3 We are working with faculty to invite select alumni as guest lecturers for undergraduate and graduate classes. 3Connections, the e-communication for alumni, now includes a feature called “President’s Pick,” where I highlight an event on campus that alumni are encouraged to attend and enjoy. (If you are not receiving e-communications from Cabrini, visit www.cabrini.edu/alumni and select “Update Your Information” to submit your most recent email address.) 3 For alumni farther from campus, we are renewing efforts to represent Cabrini at college and university presidential inaugurations around the country. 3 We are inviting alumni to submit guest columns for possible inclusion in Cabrini Magazine. These are just a few new initiatives, generated from alumni suggestions. If you have more ideas, I am listening. Please contact me via email at [email protected]. While I can’t promise every idea will be realized, I can promise that you will hear back from me. Many alumni asked that Cabrini Magazine remain a print publication rather than going to a solely digital edition, as was planned.
