Exemption from import duties, VAT and excise tax on machinery, equipment, tools and supplies (including components) which are essential for the production of goods or for commercial purposes and on materials to be used in the construction, assembly or installation of factories or buildings in the IEAT free zone. Consumer products or vehicles are not exempt. 2. Exemption from import duties, VAT and excise tax on raw materials imported and taken into an IEAT free zone for use in the production of goods or for commercial purposes. Exempt imported materials taken into an IEAT free zone for use in pro- duction include items from another IEAT free zone, promoted persons under BOI for export, bonded warehouse, items imported under bank guarantee for re-export of finished goods and items exempt under other laws. 3. Importation of goods in an IEAT free zone for producing, mixing, assembling, packing or processing of the goods for export out of Thailand are not subject to the law in relation to the control of importation or exportation, the control of standards or quality, affixing of mark or any sign to those goods other than those goods other than those required under the Customs law in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Board of Directors of the IEAT. 4. Goods manufactured in an IEAT free zone and sold in Thailand will be deemed as imported goods (possibly eligible for customs duty privileges subject to certain conditions), and subject to VAT at the normal rate or at the zero rate if sold between operators located in the IEAT free zones. 5. Additional corporate income tax exemptions of 3 years with a corporate income tax cap not exceeding 100% of investment (excluding cost of land and working capital), but not exceeding 8 years in total. 1.2. If the activities are in Group A1 or A2, which are entitled to 8 years corporate inco- me tax exemption, then a 50% reduction of corporate income tax for a period of 5 years will be permitted. This is only f or the net profit deriving from the promoted activity, counting from the date in which the rights to the corporate income tax ends. 1.3. Permission to double deduct costs of transportation, electricity and water supply for a period of 10 years, counting from the date in which revenue is generated. 1.4. Permission to deduct 25 percent of investment costs on the installation or construction of facilities used counting from the date in which revenue is gene- rated. 1.5. Exemption of import duty for machinery. 1.6. Exemption of import duty for raw materials and essentials used in the production of products for export for a period of 5 years. 1.7. Permission to employ foreign unskilled workers in the promoted project, accor- ding to the conditions prescribed by the Board. 1.8. Non-tax incentives. In the case of target activities, as designated by the Policy Committee on Special Econo- mic, the following incentives will be available: 2.1. Exemption of corporate income tax for a period of 8 years, with a corporate
