ANNOUNCES ARTISTS TO EXHIBIT THEIR PRINCE- INSPIRED ART AT THE FREE PURPLE PHILANTHROPY MUSIC AND ART FAIR ON OCTOBER 23RD AT ORCHESTRA HALL FROM 11AM-3PM ART INSPIRED BY PRINCE IS A CELEBRATION OF “LOVE” AND “HUMANITY” MINNEAPOLIS, MN (October 18, 2016) — Artists near and far submitted iMages of paintings, sketches, poetry, Music lyrics, jewelry and stories that illuminated “LOVE” and “HUMANITY” inspired by PRINCE. “These stories are as iMportant as the art subMission, as they explain the inspiration froM the artist that resulted in the greatness that will be on exhibit at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis this Sunday at 11am”, said Prince protégé Sheila E. The Purple Philanthropy “Music and Arts Fair” kicks off with a spectacular colorful drum-line produced by GraMMy-award winning Music producer and druMMer, Andre Fischer and a special proclamation froM the Mayor of Minneapolis, Betsy Hodges, declaring October 23rd as Purple Philanthropy Day. Guests will experience an artistically diverse fair featuring Prince inspired Music, art and fashion. A silent auction supporting Purple Philanthropy will have donated art, as well as, three refurbished pianos donated by Wells Piano of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Twin Cities Mobile Jazz will showcase talent froM Music prograMs around the Twin Cities, with internationally acclaiMed Prince DJ Rashida on the turntables. The Music and Art Fair is Free/Open to the public froM 11:00am-3:00pM. Artists, poets, lyricists and designers who will be featured are: Anthony Whelihan, Jordan Devine Baker, Robin HickMan, Christopher Vasquez, Alex Mejia, Kelly Werkheiser, RaMel Jasir, Brittany Lynch, Lucy Cruz, JazMine Darden, JaMie ThoMasina PleM and Nikki McCoMb. Prince inspired so many people around the world artistically and Musically. His legacy is built on a solid foundation for love of coMMunity. As the benefit concert kick-offs, high profile guests and comMunity leaders will walk the purple carpet at 6:15pM.
