THE HOST As Prince’s nephew and son of Tyka, President Nelson is next in the family line to carry on the Prince legacy. President’s perspective on the Prince mystique is different from most fans and the public. Having only met his uncle about a dozen times, President still grew aware of Prince’s influence and mythological image, and feels compelled to humanize the legend, who he remembers as a “funny, dedicated, complex artist”, but yearns to know as a person. President has access to those who knew Prince best and believes his mission for My Uncle Prince is to “help others feel more connected to him using me as their avatar, to learn these stories together and be in his world.”
