When walking down the streets of , it’s really surprising just how many sacral places of interest the city contains. The BRNO AND ITS CHURCHES pro- ject wants to draw attention to these jewels of history. Every afternoon from 15 June to 15 September from Tuesday to Saturday, visitors can come to the Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady in Old Brno, the churches of Saint Michael and Saint Thomas as well as the hard-to-miss “Red” Church of Jan Amos Comenius, to admire their interiors. This is an opportunity to learn a lot of interesting facts about local sacral buildings and activities taking place there during special lectures and tours. And just like with the guided tours in the churches, there will be no admission fee. Just make sure you reserve your spot at these exceptional events be- forehand on the TIC BRNO website www.ticbrno.cz/brnoajehochramy. This brochure describes a selection of Brno churches that are worth visiting. Some of them are open as part of the Brno and Its Churches project while others are open year-round. Some churches are open only during services and on special occasions; however, visitors can always take a look at their interiors from the entrance hall of the church.
