John Forrest National Park "Forest Getaway"

Nestled in the Darling scarp, the John Forrest National Park is a wooded wonderland of Australia. One of the oldest reserve areas of Western Australia, it was established in the year 1957. Steeped in history, it was inhabited by Nyoongar people before Europeans colonized the area and is also alluded to a mythological serpent. Known for retaining its original by Nachoman-au state, the park's vegetation is largely endemic with jarrah and marri forests found in majority. Over 10 mammal species and 91 bird species have found their homes in the premises of the park. The best way to spot kangaroos and expanse of scenic wildflowers are through the hiking trails that go through the park.
