Perth Zoo is undoubtedly Perth’s most unique venue. The perfect place to turn a good event into an amazing event your guests remember. Choose between a number of spectacular wedding, banquet, cocktail, conference and meeting locations set amongst the natural exhibits of the zoo. Conveniently close to the CBD, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Perth Zoo offers a beautiful and relaxed setting for your function. MUSTARD is the official caterer for Perth Zoo and winner of the Venue Caterer Award at the 2013 Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence.

Perth Zoo offers a range of spaces for a variety of functions and events. From outside areas surrounded by natural foliage, to stunning amphitheatres, tailored conference rooms and animal experiences, there’s a place for any size and type of function.

ROTHSCHILD’S ROOM (CAPACITY 250 GUESTS)

Accessed directly from Labouchere Road, the Rothschild’s Room opens into a spacious courtyard with fairy-lit trees and a heritage carousel, providing a stunning back drop. Bookings include a dance floor, lectern, microphone, projector screen, tables, chairs, white linen table cloths, napkins, and a registration table. The Rothschild’s Room is suitable for weddings, banquets, cocktail events, meetings, conferences, and road shows. The room is available for use all year round.

HOMESTEAD BARN (CAPACITY 200 GUESTS)

The Homestead Barn is a rustic undercover option with a classic Australian feel. Featuring an outdoor amphitheatre, the Homestead Barn is located in the heart of the Zoo near the elephant exhibit. The space is perfect for barn weddings and corporate Aussie barbeques.

PALM TERRACE (CAPACITY 300 GUESTS)

Listen to the lions roar and hear the mischievous call of the baboons at your next function. The Palm Terrace makes use of the spacious café area located centrally within the Zoo. Featuring café style tables and chairs, a grassed area (great for a lounge or cocktail area), heritage carousel and fairy lit trees. The Palm Terrace is great for outside cocktail and barbeque events.

The Palm Terrace is available for events from 5:30pm after Perth Zoo visiting hours conclude.

GARDEN MARQUEE (CAPACITY 400 GUESTS)

The Garden Marquee is the perfect setting for breakfasts, formal dinners, cocktails and weddings. The marquee features a stunning glass window entry overlooking the garden with wooden floorboards, black silk roof lining, modern lighting and air conditioning. Outside you’ll find a wood chipped garden with up-lighting in the trees; the perfect area for pre-dinner drinks.

JAPANESE GARDEN (CAPACITY 100 GUESTS)

Set in a private area among the Japanese-style garden and water feature, the Japanese Gardens offer a large amphitheatre perfect for cocktail functions, stand-up breakfasts, lunches, barbeques and wedding ceremonies.

PERTH ZOO LAWN VENUES Perth Zoo’s lush, green garden and lawn areas are available for exclusive hire during Zoo hours. Perfect for picnics and barbeques, an evening cocktail party, or dinner or special event under the stars or in a marquee. MAIN LAWN Suitable for small gatherings or large gala events under a marquee or perfect for open air cocktail parties. This space is versatile and you can hire only a small part or the whole lawn. Also popular for large corporate events such a family days and Christmas Parties.

Set up options and capacities: Banquet 700 guests Cocktail 3000 guests OAK LAWN Newly refurbished the Oak Lawn is its own secluded sanctuary within the Zoo grounds. Surround by beautiful trees and lush green grass this space offers itself to intimate outdoor parties for including cocktail, banquet style & casual barbeques. Conveniently close to the CBD, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Perth Zoo offers an inspiring and relaxed setting for your next meeting or conference. Perth Zoo’s Conference Centre accommodates 10 to 120 people and is located next to the Zoo’s main entrance on Labouchere Road near Windsor Park. Each of the four rooms can be setup in a layout to suit your needs.

UNIQUE ZOO EXPERIENCES

MUSTARD at Perth Zoo serves fine food in amazing spaces. But, if you’re after something extraordinary to wow your guests, add on some of our extras!

Animal exhibits are available for breakfast before 9am and sundowners or pre dinner drinks from 5pm until sunset. Due to unforeseen circumstances Perth Zoo cannot guarantee that all animals and exhibits specified will be available.

Please note: music, fancy dress costumes, replica weapons and African drummers are not permitted in the animal exhibits. Plastic goblets are used for safety reasons. Minimum of 50 guests in all exhibits.
