Itinerary 100th Lions Club International Convention June 30 – July 3, 2017

Day 1 Friday, June 30, 2017

5:30am Load the buses and depart for Chicago, Meals (on your own) and rest stops in route

7:00 pm Dinner at Giordano’s Pizza 10410 West Cermak Road, Westchester, IL 60254

Menu: Buffet to include Giordano’s famous stuffed pizza, pasta w/marinara sauce, salad, and soft drinks (coffee upon request)

8:15 pm Load your buses and depart for your hotel

8:30 pm Check into to the DoubleTree Hotel Chicago – Oak Brook 1909 Spring Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523 (630) 472-6000

Day 2 Saturday, July 1, 2017 *** Parade Day *** Parade Steps off @ 9:00 am

6:30 am Breakfast at your hotel (included)

7:30 am Depart for the 100th Lions Club International Convention parade staging Bus Drop off Zone: West Wacker – Between Franklin Street & N State Street

9:00 am Parade assembly time for the Alabama Lions Club All-Star Band

9:00 am The 100th Lions Club International Parade steps off down State Street

10:30 am approximate time that Alabama (unit # 70) will step off in the parade

TBA The Parade will end at State Street & Van Buren Street Your buses will be waiting for you nearby – subway lunch boxes will be delivered to the bus

TBA Depart for the DoubleTree Hotel to relax and freshen up for an early dinner 1909 Spring Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523 (630) 472-6000

4:00 pm Gather up in the lobby of the DoubleTree and walk as a group to dinner

4:30 pm Dinner @ Maggiano’s Little Italy (included) 240 , Oak Brook, IL 60523 First Course (Appetizer) – Mozzarella Marinara, Maggiano’s Salad Second Course (Pastas) Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce (Entrée) Chicken Parmesan Ciabatta Rolls, Coffee, Hot Tea, Iced Tea and Sodas

5:45 pm Depart for the Lions Club Student Dance

8:00 pm Board Buses for return to your hotel. This time is approximate as all times are. 1 Day 3 Sunday, July 2, 2017

8:30 am Depart for the Navy Pier 600 East , Chicago, IL 60611

9:30 am Visit the Navy Pier (600 East Grand Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611)

Day 4 Monday, July 3, 2017

7:00 am Breakfast at your hotel (included)

8:00 am Check out and depart for home Meals (on your own) and rest stops in route

8:00 PM to 9:00 PM Arrive back at UAB, same location is Departure and Band Camp
