In the environmental domain in particular, Gattefossé is most careful in its observation of all regulations governing its activity such as non-renewable energy, or liquid and solid waste management and valorization which have lead to specific investments.
As a user of palm oil and palm kernel oil derivatives, we are sensitive to the environmental impact of palm tree growing. In 2010, our company became a member of RSPO (Round Table for Sustainable Palm Oil), to support conscientious and responsible palm oil producers and cooperatives.
In 2011, we have purchased GreenPalm Certificates of sustainable palm oil or palm kernel oil to cover almost all the palm/palm kernel oil needs of our worldwide cosmetic business.
With this action, we support a proactive approach in line with the RSPO code of conduct, in order to ensure that the world’s palm oil is produced within a legal, economically viable, environmentally appropriate and socially beneficial manner.
