FINAL Adelaide, July--August 2007 WEATHER: Who filled Free Doctor Who fans happy! by staff writers

Just wait for the withdrawal symptoms.

With Doctor Who on twice a week, fans are as excited as they were on their greatest ever sugar rush.

However with this much concentrated Who, the inevitable crash looms large for fandom.

The only disappointment was the episode’s non-appearance on the big screen at the Pride London Trafalgar Square event. Initially DVD problems were cited however it has been revealed that the Council noise curfew was SFSA magazine # 21/22 the reason.

q from Page 1 Ratings news has been mixed. TEN were very pleased to find they had cracked the one million viewer mark with Torchwood: Everything Changes on Monday June 18. The debut appealed to the 18-49 demographic with the posi- tion of the second most popular program of the day. Subsequent episodes have rated around 800,000, still performing the best in the same youth band. For the first time in three years Doctor Who has not rated over one million viewers for the season debut on ABC. Smith and Jones only pulled 928,000 for its June 30 transmission, beaten by a repeat of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (1.090 million). However, with the proximity of both a new Harry Potter movie and the final book this is understandable. The Runaway Bride only scored 842,929 on its June 28 broadcast, perform- ing best with viewers 40-54 and females 65+. This viewership is typical of the last two series, and may be why ABC passed Torchwood over. Its popularity The Pioneer plaque is the most commonly with a younger audience, which TEN has traditionally aimed for, may be why defaced astronomical image in libraries. the commercial network purchased it. Sky Watch ABC has enjoyed over one million viewers with two episodes per series. In 2005 it was Rose and The End of the World, and in 2006 and School Reunion. Pioneer anomaly ‘Conventional’
