And, it gives us a bit more info about he manages to come back to (or not) Torchwood after the killing of his cyber girlfriend. Have now listened to this at least three times. It's really incredible how he finally opens up to Jack - sort of that is. And, it's good to see that he went back to "save" Jack after he said he wouldn't. And it shows Ianto in a different light, first broken then brave enough to fight the alien. After all, he's described by Mandy as a 'good man'. But now it's raised a few more questions, especially about his mother since in the series on TV his mother is dead.5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. I highly recommend this to any Jack and Ianto fan!By J. Lynn ClarkThis audio was awesome! It told the story of Jack and Ianto's relationship after "Cyberwoman", and it wasn't at all a disappointment. I laughed, I cried...and all the emotions in between. It answered a lot of questions I had about how they eventually came together. Both John Barrowman and Gareth David-Lloyd were excellent as Jack and Ianto, and it was as if they'd never left their rolls. Their chemistry was palpable throughout the story.But the MVP of this story is Gareth David-Lloyd. What he brings to this story is incredible. The man is highly underrated as an actor and his Ianto Jones is a triumph in the emotional roller coaster he goes through in this.Anyone who is a Torchwood fan needs to buy this. I was hoping to get more insight into why these two hooked up.While the idea behind Ianto (and everyone else for that matter) being Broken was fine but if someone were having a nervous breakdown with suicidal, paranoid, Schizophrenic tendencies why did no one try and get him professional help?And you certainly don't recover that quickly due to the last minute recovery in the story. And to accept the fact that they have a such a hateful relationship that can turn on a dime is extremely hard to swallow. Let alone have his sexual preferences change without even the slightest hint at that ever coming into play seemed far fetched.Just thought this was the perfect opportunity to try and deal with some heavy weighted issues and they were all treated haphazardly.
