AM Following breakfast and hotel checkout, proceed north and spend the morning with LOTEM-Making Israel Accessible, a one of-a-kind organization that enables people with special needs to maximize their enjoyment of nature through outdoor activities, unique educational opportunities, and comprehensive field trips. See firsthand the latest developments underway at the 6.8 square mile fully accessible park.

PM Enjoy a tasty lunch made with fresh, local ingredients at Kamah Café. This new establishment is located in the heart of a unique curative community, which includes a visitor’s center and gallery where one can purchase artisanal products. Hear from Michal Shiloah, CEO of Western Galilee Now (WGN), who will explain the WGN consortium of local businesses, entrepreneurs, and tour operators which has partnered with Jewish National Fund to enhance economic, social, and tourism opportunities in the area. Visit the former crusader city of Akko. Meet with other JNF partners in the area and learn how we’re working together to strengthen communities in both the Galilee and Southern Negev regions. Continue to Ma’alot-Tarshiha and see the variety of groundbreaking work that Jewish National Fund is supporting in this northernmost city. Visit the JNF Fire Station and beautiful Montfort Lake and Park with local leaders to hear about the development plans and future of these initiatives. Check into the newly-renovated Mizpe Hayamim Hotel in Rosh Pina and enjoy dinner at the hotel this evening.

AM Following breakfast, head to Kiryat Shmona to learn about the JNF initiatives and plans in the region with Mayor Nissim Malka, including a world-class Culinary Institute; a Medical Center; business management training at College; and a food technology and research center at Beit Asher. Drive to located on Israel’s Northern border with . Hear an update on security in the area and visit the housing site underway made possible by JNF’s Housing Development Fund.

PM Following lunch, visit the Gomeh Reservoir, which provides recycled water to over 30 farming communities in the Galilee region. Conclude the day at the magical , Israel’s first nature reserve that was transformed from a swamp into fertile land in the1950s. Located on a major migration route for birds travelling from Europe to Africa and Asia, the valley is considered one of the world’s most important centers for bird watching. Spot the different bird species, see rare aquatic plants and animals, and take in the beautiful scenery during sunset. Enjoy a special dinner tonight in the area.

AM After breakfast, depart to the HaReut Museum and the adjacent Metzudat Koach Memorial, also known as the Nabi Yusha fortress. Tour the site which commemorates the 28 soldiers who fell in the battle at the fortress during the War of Independence and has come to symbolize the “Spirit of ‘48”—tenacity, camaraderie, and readiness to sacrifice. Continue to Tzfat and participate in a program with the local MAKOM Community. MAKOM, in partnership with JNF, strengthens the social fabric of Israel through a variety of initiatives involving employment, culture and education. Meet with young leaders and hear about their experiences.

PM Travel to the Golan Heights Whiskey Distillery, a family-owned and operated craft distillery. Meet with David Zibell, founder, owner, master distiller, and a Nefesh B’Nefesh oleh. David, formerly a real-estate agent and salesman, decided that it was time for him to live out his dream. His first whiskey was released on Israeli Independence Day in 2016. Today, The Golan Heights Distillery is Israel’s second- largest distillery. Experience the aromas and unique flavors of scotch samples and enjoy a light lunch. Visit the Gamla Nature Reserve in the central Golan Heights, which offers a wonderful combination of natural phenomena, breathtaking landscapes, historical remains, and other rare attractions. Enjoy dinner in the area this evening.

AM Following breakfast and hotel check-out, depart toward Lavi near the Kinneret. Engage in a program with HaShomer HaChadash, a volunteer organization dedicated to safeguarding the land in the Negev and the Galilee in partnership with JNF. Hear an overview and meet with young leaders who will discuss how HaShomer upholds the Zionist ideals on which the State of Israel was founded. Plant a tree with your own hands in the Lavi Forest before continuing the drive south, having lunch en route.

PM Visit the Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI-JNF) in Hod HaSharon, the only non-denominational, pluralistic, accredited academic program in Israel for English speaking North American High School students. Tour the campus and learn about the new initiatives underway and meet with students. Our journey concludes with an authentic farewell dinner before transferring to Ben-Gurion Airport for return flights to the U.S.
