Pursuant to Section 892 of the Local Government Act, Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing of the proposed bylaw: BYLAW NO. 2664: “Quada Island Zoning Bylaw, 1990, Amendment No. 70” WILL BE HELD AT: Quadra Community Centre, 970 West Road, Quadra Island ON: Thursday, October 28, 2004 COMMENCING AT: 7:30 p.m.

The intent and purpose of Bylaw No. 2664 is to consider the rezoning of a 0.02 hectare (0.05 acre) area of foreshore, which is 8.22 metres by 24.39 metres in dimension, from Access Two (AC-2) to Access One (AC- 1) for the purposes of private moorage. The area proposed for rezoning is legally described as “Unsurveyed crown foreshore fronting Strata Lot 3, Plan VIS4188, Quadra Island, Sayward District” and is located within Granite Bay, Quadra Island, as shown on the map below. The applicants have received a tenure offer from Land and Water (LWBC), File No. 1412435 for the purposes of private moorage consisting of a floating dock. Bylaw No. 2664 A copy of the proposed Bylaw and related information may be inspected at the Regional District offices, 600 Comox Road, Courtenay, BC between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday on October 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26 & 27, 2004.
