BENEDETTI'S BANNER MONTH IN NORTH AMERICA: TOURING TO 21 CITIES AND FEATURED IN THE ECONOMIST, CNN AND ON THE TAVIS SMILEY SHOW

March was a busy month for Nicola Benedetti! Viewers around the world followed the massive success of Benedetti’s 13-city Venice Baroque Orchestra North American tour and over 125,000 watched their viral tour video. Then straight onto an 8-concert tour with Royal Scottish National Orchestra which received glowing tour reviews. The Herald Scotland wrote: “Benedetti was at the top of her game on both the Bruch concerto she clearly loves so well and on the Brahms concerto.”

From there, Benedetti performed Bruch with on subscription concerts with the . Capping off all the tour activity, she appeared in the Economist Magazine, CNN.com and the Tavis Smiley Show!

RANA'S "GOLDBERG VARIATIONS" DISC DEBUTS AT #1 ON U.K. CLASSICAL CHARTS AND IS NAMED GRAMOPHONE'S "EDITOR'S CHOICE"

CRISTIAN MACELARU ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL SEASON AS CABRILLO FESTIVAL AND MAKES SUCCESSFUL DEBUT WITH BAYERISCHEN RUNDFUNKS

On March 13th, the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music announced their first season with Cristian Macelaru as Music Director to take place August 4-12, 2017. Season highlights include 7 world premieres, 1 U.S. premiere, 3 West Coast premieres, 11 in residence, and anniversary tributes to and John Adams. Season announcement here and video interview here.

Earlier this month, Macelaru made an important debut the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks. He led three highly compelling performances at the Munich Philharmonie im Gasteig to a rapturous response from the audiences.
