The answer is simple: Firstly, I have been a passionate proponent of the European project since first becom- ing politically aware in the early 70s, and I am very concerned about its future – as are many of Europe’s most astute observ- ers. And secondly, the EU is central to us as a law firm as we deal with Union law on a daily basis in our work for corporate clients and in our representation of individ- uals and states in front of European courts.
