Each one of them is an expert on a specific theme, and they have created a project for all athletes in order to guarantee them the best possible security and comfort so that they can perform at their best. 4 THE Annecy 2018 TEAM OF CHAMPIONS SANDRINE Bailly Double Olympic medallist in relay (2006 and 2010), 2003 World Champion in pursuit and winner of the World Cup in 2005, she is a top level skier with multiple medals in Biathlon. She is Annecy 2018’s Ambassador linked with the world of sport. DENIS BARBET Paralympic Slalom Champion, he won a bronze medal in Super-G at Salt Lake City in 2002, won the European Cup in 2005 with three victories, and was bronze Downhill medallist in Turin in 2006, coming 5th in the Slalom. He is an engineer at the French National Institute for Agricultural Research at Thonon-les-Bains. He is the technical expert for the Paralympics for Annecy 2018. Antoine DENERIAZ Olympic Downhill Champion at Turin in 2006, he had several victories in the Alpine Skiing World Cup (2003 and 2004). A ski instructor and the creator of a brand of ski accessories, he is the ambassador-expert on the region’s experience of major international competitions, and on building popular support. EDGAR GROSPIRON First Olympic Moguls Champion in 1992 in Albertville, he is a triple World Champion in the discipline and has achieved 38 World Cup victories. Florence MasnaDA A double Olympic medallist (1992 and 1998) and Alpine Skiing World Champion (1999), Florence is responsible for building support from the sporting world, and also works on the technical quality of the proposed venues. She was a member of the Albertville 1992 Olympic organising committee and is currently the head of marketing at the tourism agency promoting “Savoie Mont Blanc”, so she will provide her expertise in marketing and accommodation. Many other champions and great figures from the sporting world are bringing their expertise to the bid on a daily basis; names like Pernilla Wiberg (Swedish Double Olympic medallist and Alpine Skiing legend), Marie-José Pérec (triple Olympic Champion in Athletics), Aimé Jacquet (Coach of France’s World Cup winning Football team) and Philippe Bozon (Ice hockey champion). 5 A PresiDENT Charles Beigbeder, 46, is a French business leader with a solid international background, combined with an entrepreneurial pragmatism that has helped him to distinguish himself through the creation of numerous innovative companies and start ups. Charles Beigbeder, passionate when it comes to launching new projects, is an entrepreneur who never stops finding innovations, trends, business sectors and markets of the future, especially in the green business and digital fields. A winter sports enthusiast, he joined the Annecy 2018 team with passion and determination.
