PLANLAMA ALANININ ÜLKE VE BÖLGESİNDEKİ YERİ İzmir; kuzeyde Madra Dağları, güneyde Kuşadası Körfezi, batıda Çeşme Yarımadası'nın Tekne Burnu, doğuda ise Aydın ve Manisa il sınırları ile çevrilmiştir. İl toprakları, 37° 45' ve 39° 15' kuzey enlemleri ile 26° 15' ve 28° 20' doğu boylamları arasında yer almaktadır. İlin kuzey-güney doğrultusundaki uzunluğu yaklaşık olarak 200 km, doğu-batı doğrultusundaki genişliği ise 180 km’dir. Büyükşehir statüsüne sahip olan İzmir’in ilçeleri; Karşıyaka, Konak, Gaziemir, Balçova, Narlıdere, Güzelbahçe, Bayraklı, Karabağlar, Bergama, Dikili, Kınık, Aliağa, Foça, Menemen, Çiğli, Bornova, Buca, Kemalpaşa, Bayındır, Torbalı, Selçuk, Menderes, Seferihisar, Urla, Çeşme, Karaburun, Tire, Ödemiş, Beydağ ve Kiraz’dır. Planlamaya konu alan, Buca ilçesi Tınaztepe mahallesi sınırları içerisinde yer almaktadır. ŞEKİL 3: İZMİR İLİ İLÇELERİ İzmir’in metropol ilçelerinden biri olan Buca, il merkezinin 9 kilometre güneydoğusunda olup, 180 km2 yüzölçümüne sahiptir. Denizden yüksekliği 38 metre olan ilçenin kuzeyinde Kemalpaşa ve Bornova, batısında Konak, güneyinde Menderes, doğusunda ise Torbalı İlçesi bulunmaktadır. Nüfusu, 2016 yılı adrese dayalı nüfus kayıt sistemi verilerine göre 482.337 kişidir. 4 | S a y f a TÜRK MÜHENDİSLİK MÜŞAVİRLİK ve MÜTEAHHİTLİK A.Ş. ŞEKİL 4: PLANLAMA ALANININ KENT İÇİNDEKİ YERİ Planlama değişikliğine konu olan İzmir ili, Buca ilçesi, Tınaztepe Mahallesi, 624 ada 8 no.lu parselin yüzölçümü 11.891,00 m2’dir. Parsele ilişkin bilgiler, raporun “Mülkiyet ve Kadastral Durum” başlığı altında detaylandırılmıştır. Planlama alanının kent içindeki yeri incelendiğinde; ilçe merkezine yaklaşık 1,5 km uzaklıkta olup O–30 İzmir Çevre Yolu’nun 2 km kuzeybatısında, Doğuş Caddesi üzerinde yer almaktadır. Parselin güneyinde konut alanları, kuzeyinde yapılaşmamış arazi ve konut alanı, doğusunda KYK İzmir Kız Öğrenci Yurdu, batısında yapılaşmamış arazi ve konut alanı, kuzeydoğusunda Tınaztepe Hastanesi ve sanayi alanı (tekstil üretimi), kuzeybatısında Eski Buca Mezarlığı ve konut alanı, güneydoğusunda Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Tınaztepe Yerleşkesi bulunmaktadır. 5 | S a y f a TÜRK MÜHENDİSLİK MÜŞAVİRLİK ve MÜTEAHHİTLİK A.Ş. 1.2. ULAŞIM AĞINDAKİ YERİ İzmir Türkiye’nin üçüncü, Ege Bölgesi’nin de en büyük ili olarak yoğun bir yolcu ve yük trafiğine sahiptir. Bu nedenle, ulaşım çeşitliliği ve ulaşım türlerinin birbirine bağlantısı yönünden ülke ölçeğindeki önemli merkezlerden biridir ve farklı ulaşım türlerinin değişim noktası durumundadır. Güçlü karayolu-denizyolu-demiryolu-havayolu ilişkileri vardır. Çevresindeki tüm illere doğrudan karayolu ile bağlanma olanağına sahip olan İzmir’de, İzmir Çevre Otoyolu, İzmir-Çeşme ve İzmir-Aydın otoyolları bulunmaktadır. İlin doğusundaki Manisa iline D– 250, Uşak iline D–300; kuzeyindeki Balıkesir iline D–565; güneyindeki Aydın iline E–87 karayolu ile ulaşılmaktadır. ŞEKİL 5: İZMİR KARAYOLLARI HARİTASI Anadolu topraklarındaki ilk demiryolu hattının 1866 yılında tamamlanan, 130 kilometrelik İzmir- Aydın demiryolu hattı olması, İzmir’in demiryolu ulaşımında öncü ve farklı bir yeri olduğunu göstermektedir. İlden demiryolu ile ülkenin diğer illerine yolcu ve yük taşımacılığı gerçekleştirilmektedir. In some cases, preparing soil-engineering bedrock model can be economically difficult where engineering bedrock depth is deeper. In this study, in order to indicate the important results of low-cost geophysical studies, the Menemen Plain and Gediz Delta area, located in the north of the inner İzmir Bay, were selected as new growing industrial zones. In this context, microgravity, microtremor, for obtaining predominant vibration period, and ESPAC methods, for definingV S profile along the soil and engineering bedrock, were conducted all over a study area. After that, all results of these methods were compared and, then, combined with VES results. Finally, soil-engineering bedrock models were prepared for obtaining a 2.5D model and it was observed that the Bornova Flysch reaches up to the surface on an SW-NE line extending to the east of the area.

Serifaki Department of Architectural Restoration, Institute of Technology Izmir, Turkey ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to present the changes in building characteristics resulting from the transformation of Izmir into a cosmopolitan city of wealthy traders in the second half of the 19th century. The study concentrates on palatial suburban houses. The paper concludes with the construal of the merging of the old and new architectural preferences as a sign of modernization. Extroverted spatial organizations began to be preferred over introverted ones in residential architecture. D. Cornell University 2018 Railway Crossings: Encounters in Ottoman Lands focuses on the production of railway spaces in western Anatolia during the second half of the 19th century, with an emphasis on how spatial practices were altered with the advent of railways in the region. Understanding the railroads as a cultural as well as a material phenomenon, this work approaches the western Anatolian railways through a series of interdisciplinary vignettes that juxtapose the histories of the built environment with histories of technology, archaeology, travel, and the senses. In an effort to modernize its transportation infrastructure, the Ottoman government granted the first railway concessions in Anatolia to two British companies. The Izmir-Aydın and Izmir-Kasaba lines connected the port city of Izmir to the fertile river valleys of the Gediz, Küçük and Büyük Menderes rivers. The construction of railways was an intensely material act, requiring not only the laying of tracks and the construction of station buildings, but the alteration of a whole landscape. Beyond this physicality, the railroads were harbingers of new modes of interaction with space. They altered the commercial transportation networks of the region that had depended for centuries on camel caravans traveling along well-established but flexible pathways. People also found a new mobility in the train.

Depremler, genelde yerkabuğunun ilk 20 km’sinde yoğunlaşmaktadır ve büyüklükleri 1.0≤ML≤4.0 arasındadır. Deprem etkinliğinin; Güzelbahçe’nin güneyinde, Narlıdere-Balçova çevresinde, Manavkuyu-Bornova civarında, Gaziemir-Buca hattının GD’sunda, Menemen çevresinde ve İzmir Dış Körfezinde kümelendiği gözlenmiştir. 22 depremin odak mekanizması çözümleri çoğunlukla, D- B doğrultulu normal veya doğrultu atım bileşenine sahip baskın normal fay vermektedir. Fay düzlemi çözümlerinden hareketle gerilme tensörü analizi yapılmış ve en büyük asal gerilme ekseni (σ1) düşeye yakınken, orta (σ2) ve küçük (σ3) gerilme eksenleri yataya yakın bulunmuştur. Sonuçlar, çalışma alanının K-G doğrultulu açılma rejimine sahip olduğunu işaret etmektedir.
