www.cherryorchardfc.ie No. 105, April 2011 GARY DICKER GETTING CLOSER TO PROMOTION It has been a fine season so far for Gary Dicker, a member of the Brighton team that has led League One from early in the campaign and could clinch promotion to the Championship with games to spare. And that would be a second promotion for Gary, who with another former player, Stephen Gleeson (MK Dons), helped Stockport County to beat Rochdale 3-2 in the League Two Play-off at Wembley in May 2008. Midfielder Gary (24) joined UCD from Cherry Orchard in July 2004 and was transferred to Stockport three years later. After an initial loan spell he moved to Brighton in July 2009 and has been an influential member of the stand out team in the Division this season. Gary scored from the penalty spot in the 2-1 victory over Swindon on 26th March and having won all eight of their league games during that month. Brighton entered April 13 points clear of second placed Huddersfield. We hope that Gary will be part of a league winning team very soon.
