1. U6 has 3 players on the field for each team with no goalie; U8 has 4 players for each team with a goalie (3 field players and a goalie). 2. The ball must be kicked forward to start. Players are on a circle in their half. After each goal, the team that was scored on starts with a kickoff. The game has two 15-minute halves and a 5-minute halftime. Teams switch sides at halftime. 7. A goal kick is taken by placing the ball on the goal-line and kicking it. All players have to be ten feet away from the kicker. 8. A throw-in is taken by keeping both feet on the ground and using both arms to throw the ball overhead. Players taking the throw-in must be behind the touchline. Players receiving or defending the throw-in must be 5 feet away. 9. A corner kick is taken by placing the ball on the corner arc. Opposing players must be ten feet away. 10. If there is a foul (pushing, tripping), the team that was fouled gets a free kick from the spot of the foul. A goal cannot be scored directly from a free kick at this age.
