Lake Travis Film Festival (LTFF), is an experiential festival with an eye for showcasing filmmakers around the globe with authenticity, vision, and purpose. The festival connects independent filmmakers and industry professionals with an eager community audience.

This June 10th - 13th, 2021, the festival will host filmmakers and screenwriters to showcase their work in the beautiful Hill Country for a 4-day event. The area offers natural beauty and an abundance of visitor activities. There are many hotels and locations suited to the screenings, parties, and workshops that will accompany the festival.

LAKE TRAVIS FILM FESTIVAL 2021 LTFF chose over 100 film projects to present to the local community from the large pool of submissions from countries across the globe. LTFF is hosting screenings and events in Bee Cave and in Lakeway. Some of the venues include: Hill Country Galleria, High5, ContraCommon, dadaLab, La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lakeway, Star Hill Ranch, and Sonesta Meridian 98.

More venues will be announced as they are added. Spanning 4 days, the festivities will begin Thursday, June 10th and finish with an evening screening Sunday June 13th.

There are over 40-hours of jus films. However, a screenwriter workshop by JW Hart, a camera gear “petting zoo” by Movie Gear and break out industry events will create a full list of options. Here are the stats: 17 confirmed international films, and 2 shot out-of-country by American filmmakers (so 19 filmed internationally) and at least 44 Texan films

While most submissions were from the US we also had submissions from: Canada, Germany, UK, France, Italy, Georgia, India, Japan, Belgium, Viet Nam, Australia, China, Greece, Indonesia, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, Brazil.

MORE ABOUT THE FESTIVAL This is a live, in-person event with pop-up theatres and parties throughout the Western Travis County cities of Bee Cave and Lakeway, Texas. Safety precautions will be implemented and the festival is monitoring daily the changing landscape.

The Lake Travis Film Festival does not sell individual tickets, because LTFF believes the festival is best experienced as a collection of curated screenings and events. Some unique activities this year include a Screenwriter Workshop by famed writer J.V. Hart, script table reads for a short and feature length project with casting by Ashley Guaragua. An opening night after party open to all members and finally, the return of the very popular Industry Day at Star Hill Ranch. FESTIVAL HISTORY 2020 Festival and Awards The inaugural Lake Travis Film Festival was held February 27 through March 1, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the second annual LTFF was rescheduled for June 10-13, 2021 in the Lakeway and Bee Cave areas just West of Austin, Texas.

The best of fest categories include Short Screenplay, Feature Screenplay, Student Filmmaker, Music Video, Short Narrative, Feature Narrative, Short Documentary and Feature Documentary.

Kat Albert is an independent filmmaker who owns her own production company, Studio-e2 with offices in Bee Cave and Santa Fe. Her projects include short films, music videos, and documentary film projects.

She came to filmmaking late in life after a successful stint with a boutique creative agency. Her films and videos often have a female protagonist and range from gritty realism to magical and experimental.

Kat graduated from Texas Tech University and worked in advertising and marketing in Chicago before relocating to Austin. She is also a guest teacher and lecturer on filmmaking. Her films have played at festivals around the world. In 2018, she started the Lake Travis Film Festival to explore stories and films that have a messages of hope and perseverance.
