King Olav V Norwegian-American Heritage Fund

HRM, King Olav V of Norway allows the Sons of Norway Foundation to use his name in establishing a fund to promote cultural exchange between Norway and North America. The fund welcomes applications from Americans, 18 years or older, with a plan of studies to focus on exploring his/her interest in Norwegian heritage or in modern Norway at an institution of higher learning. The fund also welcomes Nor- wegians, 18 and older, who desire to further their studies in North American culture at an institution of higher learning. (Application due March 1.) .

Nancy Lorraine Jensen Memorial Scholarship Fund

Dr. and Mrs. Arthur S. Jensen established this fund in memory of their remarkable daughter, Nancy Lorraine Jensen, an aerospace engineer/chemist at NASA, who died unexpectedly at age 35. The fund encourages fe- male American citizens between 17 and 35 to apply for financial assistance for programs in chemistry or physics, or in chemical, electrical or mechanical engineering. The candidate, or parent/grandparent of the candidate, must be a current member of Sons of Norway. (Application due April 1.)
