Hong Kong Interline Transit Requirements

Effective June 15, 2020, flight connections between and select are possible at International Airport until further notice:

This is not an exhaustive list. Please note that these restrictions are temporary and are subject to change.

Passengers travelling on airlines that can connect with Air Canada in Hong Kong will need to comply with the following temporary requirements from the local authorities: • Connecting flights must be captured on the same air ticket (separate tickets are not allowed due to lack of check-in facilities in the Hong Kong International Airport’s transit area) • Passengers must be checked through to the final destination at the first airport of the itinerary. Passengers must be issued with boarding passes of both connecting flights into and out of Hong Kong at the origin airport. Failure to do so may lead to denied boarding at the origin airport, or deported back to the origin after landing at Hong Kong International Airport • Baggage must be tagged through to the final destination • It is passenger’s responsibility to ascertain in advance their eligibility to enter the destination country (i.e. entry requirements of non-Canadians for non-essential travel into Canada) • Maximum layover time inside Hong Kong International Airport is 24 hours • No transfers to destinations in Mainland China airports are allowed • Airside ferry transfers between Pearl River Delta (PRD) cities and the Skypier at Hong Kong International Airport are currently suspended

Rebooking guidelines:

• Applies to 014 tickets only • Origin and destination must remain the same • If the customer has already commenced their journey, and reprotection is required for their return flights, the over-the-water or intra-Asia reprotection flight(s) must be rebooked on operated by AC or on CA, NH, BR, OZ, TG, SQ, NZ, VA, CX, KE, 7C. • Connecting flights within Asia must be operated by CA, NH, BR, OZ, CX, ZH, TG, KE, 7C, booked in the lowest available fare class in the same cabin. • Change fees or any additional charges (where applicable) will be waived if the origin, destination, and cabin remain the same and if you rebook within the rebooking window. • For re-bookings made outside the rebooking window, there will not be any date change fee, but the booking may incur additional charges in the form of fare difference if the original fare class is unavailable, change of connection point fees, or extending ticket validity, where applicable. • You must reissue the ticket and enter in the endorsement box: DUE SKCH
