INFERNO KICK OFF 2014
On Saturday 1st of February 2014 our annual kick off party will take place, where all the bands that will play at the Inferno Metal Festival 2014 will be presented. As usual we promise a hell of a party you will not want to miss. Bands that will be playing this evening are GEHENNA, HARABALL, SULPHUR and SO MUCH FOR NOTHING. Tickets will be on sale from 31. October and cost 270,- NOK + ticket fee.
Artists that are already confirmed to Inferno Metal Festival 2014 is DIMMU BORGIR, TULUS, SIGH, IMPIETY, BLACK WITCHERY, ORANSSI PAZUZU, FLESHGOD APOKALYPSE, TRISTANIA, NECROS CHRISTOS and ROTTING CHRIST.
GEHENNA The Norwegian black metal band Gehenna started in 1993 in Stavanger. The band plays black metal, but has also included several elements of death metal on some of their more brutal albums. Many of their releases are considered classics in the early Norwegian black metal scene from the beginning of the 90s. The band has so far released seven full-length albums and two EPs. Their latest work is called "Unravel" and was released by Indie Recordings earlier this month. www.ludewigs.net/gehenna/
HARABALL Haraball is a Norwegian hardcore punk metal band full of energy and attitude. The group was founded in 2011 and is a result of members from the straight edge band Tiebreak joining forces with the drunken punk band Fairplay (later Fair Fuck). The band recently released "Sleep Tall" on Fysisk Format and the company itself regards Haraball as one of their most up and coming bands. www.haraball.com
SULPHUR Sulphur hails from Bergen and consists of members and ex-members of bands like Vulture Industries, Bourbon Flame, Deathcon, Aeternus, Gorgoroth and Enslaved. The band plays their own style of black metal blended with elements of death metal and avantgarde music. The band has released two albums where the last one is "Thorns in Existence" from 2009, which was released on Dark Essence Records. www.facebook.com/SULPHURBAND
SO MUCH FOR NOTHING So Much For Nothing is the solo project of Erik Unsgaard from Sarkom. Last years the band released the debut album "Livsgnist" which received great reviews. Musically this is black metal of the depressive kind, and may remind you of something between Lifelover, Shining and Skitliv. Inferno is an international extreme metal festival that is held during Easter 16. - 19th April in Oslo. Approximately 50 concerts takes place at Rockefeller and John Dee including club concerts at Blå, Deville's, Rock In, Victoria, Kulturhuset and Revolver. Since the start in 2001 the festival has been building up Norwegian metal in Norway and as well in foreign countries. INFERNO FESTIVAL has become an unique meeting point for metal fans all around the globe with conferences, expo and some of the best extreme metal bands from the new and underground to legendary giants.
