Get the Second Update from 2007 in PDF-Format Here The Encyclopedia of Dutch Black Metal – Update 2007 In 2007 – three years after The Encyclopedia of Dutch Black Metal and two years after the last update – it had become unavoidable to release a fresh update. This digital version is a mix between my second update and the ones that followed covering the same bands, but without all the stuff that was already part of the first update. Unavoidably, the information will become more splintered every time a new update is released, because I chose not to include old updates in new ones – just to save me the trouble of re-checking everything over and over and over and over. To save a bit of space I also decided to leave out track lists of (new) releases. Those are available at www.nlbme.nl in the section “The Bands”… NEW BANDS ADONAI SATHANAS Devoured Entrails), Joe HB (a.k.a. JH, Grymm; drums; Thorned Crown, Life’s Illness, Einsamkeit Mit Mihr, ADONAI: 2006-2007 Sulmog, Cunt Inferno, ex-Baduhenna), and Nechrist ADONAI SATHANAS: 2007+ (guitar). On the Pure Misanthropy demo the bass guitar (vocals, drums; Burzumennuz, Ragnar Grímsson, on some tracks is handled by guest musician Mortuos Engival Lirva, Josti Band Dropout, Failure At Life, Aves (Baduhenna). The Luciferian Black Metal ep Purperen Plastieken Paardje, Müller Is Je Niet Waard, contains four re-recorded old tracks. In the summer of Inktvis Des Doods, The Black Peoples, and possibly a 2007 the band fell apart, after which Joe HB and AMD dozen more projects) and Herr MaegdenSpleyter (a.k.a. reformed it in 2008, and changed the ideological Diederik; guitar, drums). Haatzaaier; vocals) 2007 Allesch Voir Den Duyten – compilation cd 2007 joined them some time later. First the band practiced Pure Misanthropy – demo cd 2007 songs by Dimmu Borgir and Immortal, but soon started Luciferian Black Metal – ep 2007 writing its own material for the debut demo Eternal Anno MMVI – compilation cd 2008 BRANDHAARD Winter. Early 2007 Adonai changed into Adonai Burn The Weak – split cd 2008: Cunt Inferno / 2003+ Sathanas, with the following line-up: Haatzaaier (vocals; Antinomus Storm, ambient, Doodsangst), KlaeghPlaegh (guitar; Radioactive Climax – mlp 2009 Doodsangst), Grafschenner (guitar), and Angst (drums). Electropolis (Club Mix 2009) – mcd 2009 Angst left the band late 2007 to be replaced by Bloedwraek (Thomas; Doodsangst), who also left some Brandhaard from Werkendam started in 2004 with ARCHA Graftak (guitar, vocals) and Vos (drums), who recorded time later. Adonai Sathanas later released the Man Van 2004+ Onheil full-length and De Duistere Eeuwen mini-album. the Heidens Nederland demo, and did a few live shows That last one was released on cdr in 133 copies. that were captured on dvd. ANCIENT MYSTERY Heidens Nederland – demo mcd 2005 2002+ Een Half Jaar Razernij – demo cd 2005 Live – dvd 2005 Roest Op De Heidenziel – rehearsal demo mcd 2006 Live In Midgard – live demo cd 2007 3 Jaar Razernij – live demo dvd 2007 CALSLAGEN 2004-2006 Archa is a black metal band from the West of Rotterdam, and was founded in 2004. It consists of F (drums, piano), J (guitar), and H (fretless bass, vocals). The band is also part of the Cult Of Archa, a group of people involved in private rituals. The First Revelation – demo mcd 2005 Ancient Mystery was founded in 2002, and consists of Total Aphasy – unreleased demo mcd 2005 Calslagen played heathen black metal and was formed in Teranoz (vocals, guitar), Albion (guitar), and Adaya 2004 by Wehrwulf (guitar), Kirschoffs (drums), and Herr (bass). BASTAARD V.C. (Joost Vastenhouw; vocals, bass). Because of 2003+ ideological differences Kirschoffs was replaced by Herr V. After doing a small tour with RaC band Brigade M, ANTINOMUS Calslagen released a split mcd with this band. 2005+ In October 2006 Joost was reported missing by his father, and in January 2007 a man staying at his father’s house was interrogated for his murder. In June and July of 1999 Deströyer 666 entered the Back Beach Studio to record the Phoenix Rising album, and a while later the accompanying King Of Kings / Lord Of The Wild 7" ep, featuring session drummer Shane Rout. After that Bullet Eater left, and S. Berserk joined the band. In the meantime the band – or at least part of the band – moved Dechristianisation – demo 2006 to the Netherlands. Keith settled in the city of Eindhoven, where the band first teamed up with drummer Eric de Windt (Prostitute Disfigurement, ex-Sinister, ex-Inhume, CONSPIRACY ex-Severe Torture) doing a lot of live shows all over 1988-1990, 1993-1995, 2005+ Europe. After a while this cooperation ended and Mersus joined the band on drums. The band went to a studio in Marseille, where they recorded Cold Steel For An Iron Dark Veins is the black death metal project of Lumium Age. (guitar, drum programming; ex-Undertaker Union, ex- Morpheuse, ex-Anal Plague) and Delandos (vocals; ex- Six Songs With The Devil – demo 1994 Anal Plague), inspired by bands like Marduk, Taake, Violence Is The Prince Of This World – cd 1995 Mayhem, and Emperor, and lyrics about mythology, Unchain The Wolves – cd 1997 torture, Satanism, and ancient curses. Satanic Speed Metal – 7" ep 1998 King Of Kings / Lord Of The Wild – 7" ep 2000 Conspiracy started around 1988 in a small Ukrainian DARK WIZARD Phoenix Rising – cd 2000 town, and that same year a debut demo was recorded.
