The Encyclopedia of Dutch Black Metal – Update 2007 In 2007 – three years after The Encyclopedia of Dutch Black Metal and two years after the last update – it had become unavoidable to release a fresh update. This digital version is a mix between my second update and the ones that followed covering the same bands, but without all the stuff that was already part of the first update. Unavoidably, the information will become more splintered every time a new update is released, because I chose not to include old updates in new ones – just to save me the trouble of re-checking everything over and over and over and over. To save a bit of space I also decided to leave out track lists of (new) releases. Those are available at www.nlbme.nl in the section “The Bands”…

CALSLAGEN 2004-2006 Archa is a black metal band from the West of Rotterdam, and was founded in 2004. It consists of F (drums, piano), J (guitar), and H (fretless bass, vocals). The band is also part of the Cult Of Archa, a group of people involved in private rituals.

MURW 1997+ Murw is an atmospheric black metal band of musicians of Intestine from the city of Den Haag that was born in 1997. The line-up consists of Floris Kerkhoff (guitar, vocals; Intestine, Antiyou), Peter Civikov (drums; Intestine), J. Hassink (keyboard), Paul van der Zouwe (guitar; Intestine), Robert Duijndam (bass; Intestine). Hassink was later replaced by W. Klinkenberg (a.k.a. Hallucinatie; ex-Doncker) on guitar and keyboards. Nachtvorst was a black metal band that consisted of the entire line-up of black metal band Mjöllnirr, minus its WELTER bass player (and using different names): Hertog Haat (vocals), Heer Vrieskou (guitar), Graafwolf (drums).
